That's what happened to me. Went to college in the mountains of AZ, so I was up boarding every snow day. Moved to Phoenix then SoCal, and never did the drive to the mountains. Figured it was a great time to start up again.

I will have to check that out.

Criminal Justice. I was pretty damn close to moving to The Woodlands, TX at the beginning of this year, but Colorado ended up calling me up for a job. I have moved way to much, hopefully I will be settled down here for awhile.

Interesting! I wonder if he does work in the CJ field.

My buddy lives right at Spring/Woodlands border. Seems to be a really nice area to be in.

Thanks a lot @RedRunner87!! It will be so fun to drive when I'm done. 1-2 more full days and we should be there!

Yes...I'm in, well was...in CJ. I'm a retired Police Officer her in Ohio.

Mr. @ramonortiz55...did you ever get your front end alinement done? If not..say bye bye to your front tires!! Seriously, make a huge difference on tire wear. Especially with lifted vehicles. Unsure if this is your first lifted vehiche or not?? I rotate my tires every 3-5,000 miles...or for most folks at every oil change. Truely makes a big big difference on tire wear! However, so guys like buying new rubber every year....uhhhh, not me!

Also...when you go to start cranking up your coil overs...make sure you take the time to double check our suspension bolts!! I know it's a PITA...but re-torque all the bolts is a huge saftey messure. I'm sure your install instructions say to do it. Probably all will be tight...but it's just that one lose one that will get ya! Also...we need some pictures from you Boss!! Let's see your rig!

@RedRunner87 did you get a job in CJ there in Colorado? If so what?? Yeah, once I retired from the Army, I took my GI Bill and got my college degree in CJ...then was lucky to land a job very quickly. People have no idea what kind of hoops you have to jump through and the amount of education and testing that you have to complete/pass just to get an interview...unbeliveable!?!

When I first moved out here I was a working Security at a Community Corrections facility up in Fort Collins. Basically it was a re-entry program for people coming out of prison. I was there for a few months and now I am an Corrections Officers with CDOC. A lot of people don't consider CO's part of LE, but we basically work in a city were 98% of the people are felons and limited tools for protection.

Well my friend....whoever thinks yall aren't part of LE are idiots!! We should be all one big happy family, unfortunately egos get in the way...and of course you have the "badge heavy" officer, who shouldn't be in LE anywhere!! You have all my respect...I don't know if I could work as a CO. Being locked up with individuals that have absolutly nothing to lose...wow...like I said, you have my respect! When you said you were a CO...you made it sound like you were embarrassed or not proud to be a CO. Dude...that quite an accomplishment and a very respectable job!! Be proud...hold your head high. If being a CO isn't fulfilling your dreams or ambitions...keep putting in for whatever job you do want. Out of my college class, one made CIA, couple Air Marshals, one FBI, Secret Service and a whole bunch never made it into a LE job at all. I myself work for Newark PD and started out as a street officer...then did bike patrol for our summers..that's a lot of fun. I then worked dope for I while...hated working the drug unit. Then moved on to a warrant team, where we just hunted folks with warrants. Kind of like the US Marshals but on a city level. Loved it!! That's what I wanted to be originally, US Marshal. Had just taken my test for them when I found out I was going to have a kid. So I gave up that dream...and just stayed at the PD.

Glad to here it Ramon. Can you tell a big difference in the ride since you installed your lift? I know you were getting ready to level out your rig by cranking up your coil springs...have you done that yet??

It isn't a job for everyone, but it is a pretty interesting line of work. I am loving the job right now, the opportunities are endless with CDOC. That is one of the things I really like about it, the hardest part is trying to get the training to move to different post. But so far it is pretty good, surprisingly CDOC is the largest LE agency in the State of Colorado. A lot of people look down on CO's, which eff them. It is a hard job going into a place knowing you will be locked down 8-16 hours a day with people(like you said) have nothing to lose.

I had ordered HD 650lb front coil springs for mine...knowing I was going to get a steel plate bumper and a winch in the near future. Wow...when I first started driving it after the lift was installed, she rode worst then an old Army 2 1/2 ton truck going cross country...lol!! Ok...maybe not that bad, but with the crappy Ohio roads it actually got to the point I really didn't care to drive the old girl. However, she smoothed right out once a got my ShrockWorks bumper and winch installed. Night and day difference!!

Just noticed you don't have a winch and was wondering if that made for a bit rougher ride?? That said though...you have a nicer setup than I do. I'm sure that makes a huge difference. I'm running a Toy-Tech coil overs system with Bilstien shocks. If I only knew then what I know now...I'd saved up a little bit more money and upgraded. What's that old saying...hindsight is 20/20...lol!! Oh well....I'll be upgrading at least my coil overs sometime in the future.

I am going to go with the 650 spring as well, but this reconfirms I should wait to install my lift until I get the winch and bumper. I have heard the 650's ride a little rough with no weight on them.

Awesome buddy...glad to here that you are having fun and are happy! Anyone gives you crap about your job...tell them to come walk a shift with you. 99.99% of them will shut up...the other .01% are just too stubborn to admit you have a tuff and sometimes scary job!

That's something people don't think about...our jobs are mandatory! 24hrs a day, 7 days week, 365 days a year. Someone calls off sick from the shift before yours...guess what, you just volunteered to work 16hr day. No matter what you had planned after work...weather it's Christmas or your Birthday!! Nice on the paycheck, but suck when you here that phrases "your held over"...Duh!!!
