My employer has 1400 acres. Working crop farm and hunting/conservation lands.
We have looked at cattle. Here in Florida the cattle play is winter holding the northern herds. We are evaluating the numbers. There is a margin. But it's thin.

I only use the Tacoma for transporting my dirt bike to and from the track and random helping friends. Im single with a GF so plenty of room for now. But the F150 rides so much nicer and so much more room, just a bit more of a payment and starting over again on a loan, higher gas, etc. Financially the taco is a better decision but being young and having the ability to be in the F150 is very tempting.

Well, aren't you an agreeable lad.....:p

OP, you need to make the right choice for your needs, & you could do worse than the F150, Tacomas (as great as they are) for the most part aren't the greatest for towing. Did you consider a Tundra ? (probably too expensive)
Or is the Ford just a good deal that popped up ?

Well fuck then. As a single guy with no real need except dirt bike hauling and random loads, I'd say do whatever the fuck you want! And treasure the ability to do so while it lasts.. :D

Ya know, for whatever reason Tundra fans are quiet I guess, because I don't hear much either good or bad..

My only grip with the Tundra is the mileage. I do wish it would join the club with the rest of the full size trucks.

do you like 16-18 mpg or do you like 12-14 mpg?
im happy with my 16-18 mpg

edit: also, dont break a tail light ($800+ per tail light), park in the back of the parking lots too you dont want to have to live with a dent in aluminum. and dont wreck it because it can easily be totaled with an aluminum body.
the aluminum might be more duable to door dings and small dings but you will be paying out the A.. for repairs
    just my .02

That Taco looks nice. I know it is your current truck and you got that itch. That Ford looks nice though. Get the F150. Then in a couple of years or so come back to a 2019 Tacoma. We have new F150 at work. That Ecoboost kicks the V6 Tacoma's butt in street performance. Feels more refined than the Taco V6.

The only issue with the F150 we have been having is the Dash Cluster. RPM and Speedometer have been sticking. Ford replacing them. The audio system syncs nicely with an android phone.

I've never owned a Ford and probably never will. Having said that, it's a damn good looking truck. Plenty of nuts, comfortable, capable etc.

I consider my Tacoma a bit of a "beater". It's your basic truck with reliability in its favor. I do love the look of the Tacoma though. Being a "beater" I'm not scared to use it as a truck or get it dirty. That F150 is too pretty for me. I've owned "nice" vehicles and I stressed too much about keeping them that way.

Taking on a new $40k debt would be a deal breaker for me. Unless I REALLY needed it because my Tacoma didn't fit my NEEDS, I'd avoid it.
