Depending on what he owes on his current truck he's not taking on a 40k debt he's assuming a 5k debt should his Tacoma be paid off. Highly unlikely but possible. Op if it were me I'd have done the deal.

Hell at this point if someone offered me close to what I paid for mine I'd take it and run down to the dealership. I have always been a fan of the f150's and I know Toyota is more durable, higher resale value etc. but the week I drove the new f150 with the 5.0 I was hooked. So much power, such a nice ride and I averaged Around 15-16mpg city which is about what my Tacoma gets highway

i like when things are new too lol
its a 6" lift so im sure parts will begin to wear a little quicker than the 3" lift you have on the tacoma.

edit: well i guess wearing depends how you treat it

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Why not get a Tundrasine? It's a limo size Tundra. Kinda makes the F150 seem, well small.

I'm just going by what he said, ending up with a $40k+ note.

I like the retardery of people who can't fathom anything other than a pinging V6 or a midsize truck.

Oddly enough, my Tacoma fleet are all condemned and waiting for frame replacements.

Care to call it an even trade?

i will say that the f150 is a nice truck but if it were me i wouldnt bite on the deal.
if your only use of a truck is to tow a dirtbike around then the tacoma is perfect. think about trying to get that bike in and out of a 6" lifted truck
but then again if a ford will make you happy then go with it man
gotta do what makes you happy. i know ive been trying to point out the bad things in the f150 but thats just my dislikes

    story time kids:
once upon a time....my friend sold me his tacoma for an f150(with 35's)
he now complains about a higher note to pay and complains about the gas milage....

in the end i am happy though :)

    the end.
