    Hello All,
I'll be honest I'm completely new to owning a truck, I have had numerous sports cars and sedans and currently own a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR (typical tuner car). I work for a local tuning shop (Kaizen Tuning) so my life has revolved around tuner cars for the most part. However I needed to get another daily so I just picked up a 2008 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off-road with 104k from a local dealership and am slowly learning about them. It has a bunch of interesting bells and whistles that I'm still figuring out.

Edit - I'm from the Boston, MA area

Anyways see you around on the forums
    - Jason

I honestly bought the truck with the intent of not wanting another toy to modify.. man was I wrong. There are more mods for these things than my former subaru...
Here are a few photos of my Tacoma and Evo.

Welcome, the good thing is that you're used to throwing endless amount of money into your vehicles so that won't be an issue. :D

I just ordered an Access Roll-Up Limited Tonneau cover and some KB VooDoo XRXS Bed Rails and Bed Cap...
Later today I'll be ordering Weathertech floor mats and window visors...
I have only had the truck since Saturday...

    SHIPPED!!!

Question: Does your tuning hobby consist of only Japanese cars, or do you get into German machines as well?

I'm currently on a mission to find an E46 M3, and wondered if you might have any insight on locating one other than the usual sources (cars.com, autotrader, ebay, craigslist, etc....).

Finding a proper one (manual, coupe, '04-'06, less than 100K miles, unmodded) is difficult, at least within a 250 mile radius of me.

I've looked through Craigslist for all the major surrounding cities, but so far haven't found "the one".

    I'll check out e46fanatics. Thanks!!

    Awesome! Man you move fast!

As for the hobby, we do dabble in the german side of things however my knowledge on them is very limited. If you want you can shoot me an email at Jason@kaizentuning.com and I can see if I can ask around. Another group to join would be yuppieracing.net
I have a buddy who dabbles in the dealership world with the higher end performance cars as well.

If you put a fart can muffler or a spoiler on your Tacoma we will banish you to the realms of American muscle car forums where all you will hear about, endlessly, is how superior the small block Chevy is compared to anything ever made.

Friends dont let friends rice. Just looking out for ya bud.

(Im one of those old American muscle guys, with a horribly overpowered 468 CID Corvette that can only go straight, requires constant upkeep and gets 7 MPG....)

    Welcome aboard.

I bought my truck as reliable dd, not mod it ect., as I have a money pit in the garage. I currently have parts in the mail i'm excited for for the truck....

its a nice thought, but people don't change.

Haha you'd be surprised what I see walk into my shop. I actually have the quietest aftermarket exhaust made for the evo generation so no major fart can here. The spoiler is factory for the car and is functional unlike half the FWD honda's driving around with ebay setups. I have a sweet spot for a nice muscle car myself, we do have a 1300whp GTR and a 800whp Z06 as our shop cars for us to toy around with.

As for the Taco I'll be adding minor "utility" features to it, no lifting and no aftermarket bumpers. Strictly a daily driver that I will use for the winter and for hauling the boat.
