You mean it costs more to buy and has more expensive fuel costs? Than a midsize truck with a small engine?

    I just don't believe it.

Do some more research. Sticker price isn't selling price. Far from it.

If I am not mistaken, they are not being honest with you. Lets say that you owe $33 on the Tacoma and are paying $40 for the ford. You Should be financing $38. Unless you are pocketing the equity you have and starting fresh that is.

Edit: I just realized that you may already be taking that into account. My bad I thought that you meant the price you negotiated the F150 to is 39 and change.

Welp, pretty much everything has already been said.

My good buddy has an F150. We take it to go to the range once every few weeks. Nice truck - he loves it. I borrow it once, and hated it. Too big for me. Very cush, though - I just don't care for that too much in a truck.

To me, this is apples to oranges - you're talking mid-sized vs full size. They're two different trucks for two different purposes.

A heck of a 'hard choice' to have, though, eh?! :)

Best of luck, and you do you!

Thanks everyone for their input. Looks like I'll be here a bit longer. At the ripe old age of 30 Im starting to take a step back before I make big purchases/decisions and clear my head and emotions a bit but always appreciate others inputs. I love my Tacoma, its my 3rd one in fact and actually had a fullsize a year and a half ago that I hated (new Silverado) and made me realize how much I missed my Tacoma and ended back up in my current one. For me though the Ford is beautiful, loved it I just don't get the super reassured feeling in my stomach when I think about trading my Tacoma for it. Still apprehensive about jumping into a bigger payment, higher fuel costs just to have a sweet big new truck that I really don't need at the end of the day and very well may end up just missing my Tacoma and realizing I made a mistake. Are Tacomas perfect of course not and are Fords some terrible trucks, no way, each have their strong suits, but for now I need to not let things decide my happiness especially when they cost a lot more. Not to mention I get compliments all the time on my truck, so weird how we easily lose sight of the many blessings in our lives and only look at what we don't have and what we "need". Just my 2 cents, thanks for all the input and although this forum has its issues, its SOOOOOOO much better than the F150 forum I was in for a short time, lol, though Im still not sure about the 3rd gen section and those goons  Cheers, my thanksgiving weekend (have to work to cover desk for our Airman) so off to ride the bike :bikewhoops: a bit before the white nightmare begins here in the NE.

    1) If you say 'old age' and '30' in the same sentence again, I'm going to find you.

    2) What a mature and refreshing post. The normal TW end to this thread would be as follows:

" So I got tha Ford itz awesome so can I fit 37s on it stock? Whatz tha best lift kit? T-case drop or nah? Just ordered my spacerz and blockz LOLZ! "

... so thanks for not doing that.

    And congrats on your decision!

I feel old for sure. Often wonder what the hell I did with my life to end up here lol.

Look at my current build, never never never would I run that crap lol, no bro dozer here, though I almost almost had one. lol. The F150 was a RC kit, wanna talk about spacers, lol. Did ride nice though given the actual components of the lift, but that thing is definitely a mall crawler.

    Thanks!

Oh yeah I don't know you, your build, or anything about the kit on the F-150. I was just being facetious.

    Good decision!

I know. Im running camburg UCAs on 3'' eibach/billie coilover fronts, aal rear with extended rear billie shocks and brake lines, though the most dirt she sees is the track parking lot, but that's given I live in the most densly populated state in the country ;)

Glad to see the 30 y/o is not going to buy the mall crawling F150 with the getto wheels.

    Advise from a 56 y/o:
Take that 40k debt and buy a piece of property. You may build a home on it someday. Or sell it for a tidy profit.

Right now I'm trying to pay off as much as I can since I would like a house someday (though the idea of that is hard to grasp being military), which made me check the inner child wanting to get into more debt and another new truck. lol.
