This is just my interpretation of reading about digressive valving. I've never ran them.. (except for my billys) so I can't speak from experience. I do know that almost every trophy truck/race prerunner runs progressive.

Ok I have to weigh in on the progressive/ digressive issue. As a former enduro motorcycle racer, you want PLUSH for the bumps. This means sofffft compression till the last 1/3, worth a very damped rebound. Otherwise you get jettisoned over the bars. I'm guessing that a truck would work pretty much the same, so progressive would be the way to go, as is softer on the hit. Rebound may be a bit springy tho. Does White Bros make truck shocks?

I you try to argue progressive vs digressive with only this much knowledge, you will ultimately learn that everything is conjecture and marketing hype. I tried reading the mid travel BS thread, paying special attention to whenever jberry had something to say, and I learned there's a lot more science. I ended with these 'truths':
    1. A shock can be readjusted however you want. Most people don't know what they want
    2. Trophy truck and pro crawler shocks are in a different realm. At this level, we aren't employing enough technology to make a difference... for us, it's just a choice of color, vendor, and support. The dealer should ask some basic questions that might change the springs (mine are 700s due to weight, for instance), and you can decide if you want click adjustments or something if you feel it's necessary (which is a debate you can have with yourself)
    3. You can make yourself insane with research
Do some reading in the mid travel with BS thread, realize you need a degree to understand anything, and then realize that an off-the-shelf solution will most likely be great - and it's nice to be a big dumb idiot with purdy shocks like me. I'm a computer guy, so I'm going to stick with what I know and quit hemorrhaging over stuff someone else has already figured out.

I'll be off work around 7, if you guys are still there around 7:20 I'll see you there.

I get away with quite a bit of vehicle work at the my place but the running the angle grinder scores me some awesome hoa fines. Big thanks for offering your space, I'm all set with a power outlet. We'll have to plan something out here soon.

Yes I'll still be there for sure. Playing pool and eating dinner. I think Cam is going to show up. He needs to pick up half of the venison I got yesterday because I guess he did shoot the deer in the leg after I hit it already LMFAO. Funny story.

any recommends for a suspension install place near Olympia? I know about John at Auburn Offroad but, install will take a day and the super mall only has so many sights to see.
