Oh No. Returning to stock. So long Taco fun days...

Well, with other purchases pressing it looks like my beloved Taco will be up for sale soon. sniff sniff

It's been lifted about 3" with the ever-great value OME. BUT the VSC never cooperated fully. On R hand turns, the frickin VSC decides to dangerously activate the L front wheel ABS. With these trucks being so popular to lift, I can't believe no one (IIRC) ever solved the mystery. I can't sell this truck to another party with this safety hazard, so off comes the lift.

Then the Bud Builts and Demello armor will go.

Then she's all stock....waaaahhhhhhh

That sucks man! id hate to do that to my tacomas! A sad day! What year is your truck?

Sorry to read that, tacomtn. Everybody has to make hard choices in life. The thing is, making those choices never seems to get any easier. Try to think about it this way; now you can start planning your next Tacoma.

 

Its not a mystery with the VSC problem. Its been solved for quite a while. The fix for the VSC is the VSC calibration. It needs to be done when lifting the truck to correct the sensors.

I too have an ome 3" lift on my 2011 tx pro and dont have an issue with the vsc. Bearings yes, gotta install the esg bushing yet. Sorry to hear you gotta go back to stock.

The calibration didn't work, as it didn't for most of the others who've done it as well. Sucks big time to have this problem!!!

 

Just throwing this out there for extra info. Are you sure everything was done exact. A lot of people have had good outcomes with this. Here is a quote from someone with some clarification.
