I mean if you actually go back and look at when the little thing got started it was during Tommy Bowden's era when Clemson would be ranked highly and lose to unranked teams. To say that it's Clemsoning to simply lose to someone ranked lower than you is unrealistic and quite flattering at the same time.

Wondered if you were talking about me but just to clarify I don't join these threads because it's generally been a good circle jerk of SEC homers thinking they still run the NCAA.

Not sure how losing to an underdog is flattering?

Because it happens all the time in College football? Didn't FSU lose to GT? Oh no what a shocker that one was. If it didn't happen then what would be the reason to play any football after the initial ranking come out?

It's flattering because people are saying it shouldn't happen to Clemson ever. If it does then they like to coin it by that phrase. And that phrase isn't relevant anymore.

So you're saying it's flattering before the loss? After the loss it pretty much just sucks if you ask me.

Wouldn't any loss suck? If Clemson loses to FSU this weekend I think it's funny that people could ever say that it would be considered "Clemsoning" when FSU is clearly a good team.

I have no idea what you're trying to say anymore. Explain how the fuck losing a game makes you feel flattered.

Watching you melt is more fun than conversing. Your team is #1 and hasn't Clemson'd yet. Relax.

And FWIW it was an Oregon circle jerk just as much as anything new else until they fell apart.

When did I say that? I agreed with you that beforehand its pretty flattering. Then you went on to say that losing sucks to which I also agreed. What I don't understand is how people can say that if someone loses a game that it can be considered that phrase? No need to curse just trying to understand where these people, you as well obviously, think that simply losing any game can be "Clemsoning."

From your wording I thought you were saying that you were flattered when Clemson lost a game and then had it be called Clemsoning, which would make no sense. On the same page now.

Not melting sweetheart. I'm okay with my team being #1. And hey if losing to another ranked team is considered Clemson'ing now then I guess there really is a new definition.
Sorry I only read the last two pages, guess I should've went further back.

Agreed that would be absurd. I find it flattering that Clemson is held to this standard that they can never lose.
