Looked into it some more. Summit has a loop that replaces the stem if it can unscrew. So going to look into it more tomorrow. Maybe this can work Greg!

I'm kind of surprised this Rusty Blue thing isn't getting more air time. One of our own dies in a crash and we just prattle on about UCAs and leaf springs and shit.

I just reached out to Ben, Bryans friend out west, as to anything I/we could do as a friend from Ohio and TW to help his family during this tragic loss. I will wait and follow his lead as to anything we could do to help the family. Since most of us only knew him from the forum, I understand if folks might be a little hesitant, but I let him know I am a local fireman and live close, and if there is anything we could do to help, to let me know. So I will keep everyone updated to any and all info I get from him.

After you speak to him post your thoughts about his legitimacy to actually give the funds he is collecting to Bryan's wife and 1 week old child. I'm happy to donate but I kind of red flagged it when I noticed that the funds are going to Ben. Obviously someone has to coordinate this and he is probably honest and will give the money to Bryan's family... but... call me a cynic, I like to have confirmation. Plus he's in Cali so I can't just drop by and administer an ass beating if he doesn't turn the funds over.

I only catch up on this thread every couple of days so I'm just reading the sad news about Bryan. As a fellow motorcyclist in the Dayton area, this cuts reeaaaalllly close to home! I never like to hear of any motorcycle going down but to find it happens to a family member (TW) makes it hard to swallow. I too will offer my support in anyway I can. I'm only about 25 mins from Beavercreek.

Given my proximity to where they live, I'd much rather be able to physically help out in person. I'd be willing to donate to help the family, gofundme isn't my cup of tea however. Thank you Greg for your PM I too am waiting to hear back from Ben. He said he would talk to the family and see what their feelings were on us reaching out to them. It's certainly an unusual situation to lose someone we haven't met in person, but it still feels like we could and should do something to remember him and assist the family in some way.

There's not much I can do being so far but if there's something I can send over then I'll gladly help out. I give my condolences but what Gavin said though, gofundme isn't for me either

It truly sucks, especially with the new child. I do hope that the wife has a strong network of family and friends. Life will not be easy.

In my past years when I mountain biked a lot we lost a member, hit by a car, and what we ended up doing as a group was holding a memorial ride. Ironic this was also in the Dayton area. But what we were able to do was bring awareness to us and the community. The family was there as we had a pot luck lunch and were able to physically hand over something to them.

Things that can be done, other than a gofundme, stuff like gift cards to babies r'us, kroger, stuff that parents need.

Perhaps a memorial wheeling event can be scheduled. bring in a larger group. do an actual fundraiser.

    Just my thoughts.
