I also have a brand new ARB 47L fridge I am selling for $700. Its brand new in the box. After my commute on the Glenn this morning I would rather put that money toward a nice steel bumper :)

I think Tom is selling a 4door first gen at Green Tree Fab. Looks clean, I think he picked it up from an auction.

Thanks man. Is it posted anywhere? And how is the rust there? I'm tempted to just buy an AZ truck and have it shipped cause I don't wanna deal with a lot of rust. From what I hear the roads aren't salted there so that helps

Rust isn't bad for 90% of cars here but occasionally you see badly rusted cars. My 95 isn't that bad really, and it doesn't seem to have gotten any special treatment. Arizona trucks are probably better and cheaper, but not sure it'd be worth it either way.

Not sure if that truck had a craigslist ad, I bet it does... It's red and the 01-04 body style.

20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
They don't use straight salt because the moose love to lick it which is problematic, but they still use other chemicals and stuff that are plenty corrosive.

That said, the frame on my '99 doesn't really have anything more than surface rust and most of it is still unrusted.

Thanks for the info gentleman. Another quick question and sorry if I am thread jacking, I can start a new thread. But my wife and I have never driven in snow and we just bought her a 2016 mazda3 then got my orders a week later. Can't sell the Mazda now cause we will lose too much. How do fwd cars do up there?

Get some studs and you'll be fine. AWD is better but you won't die haha

FWD does great, especially if you put Blizzak tires on it. Our patrol cars are FWD and have blizzaks, they do very well even at high speeds on the ice and snow.

My first 8 yrs here I commuted from Palmer to Elmendorf in FWD sedans. Always ran studded tires in Winter, worked shift work a lot of it, so many times found myself on unplowed roads. Never failed to make it to work and back home, ever.

x2 on the BLIZZAKS, switched to them from the studs 5 Winters ago; I wouldn't go back to studs for anything ... well maybe if my entire commute was on a frozen river of something. ;)

Nothing necessarily wrong, but in my opinion the Blizzaks perform better in snow or on ice, are much better on clear surfaces, and don't "click" going down the road; plus I don't have to worry about dates when they are legal. If I want to put them on early or leave them on longer ... no worries.

    Tirerack studies support this:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=94
The video in right column explains it well.

This WA DOT study helped sway me when I made my decision to switch to studless in 2010.

Tom sold that Taco the other day actually, but we come across them fairly regularly. Every one of you guys should visit me at GTF. I have all the fun things there. Sold three total chaos/king kits this week. Should be growing our numbers on here!
