Maybe just get the wife's name and address and we can make one purchase of a gift card with combined funds from guys in this thread, and send it to her?

I wonder if we contacted Kroger, let them know what happened and see if they would match what we raise.

No need to feel bad, this is something that was important from the get-go. As soon as I heard of the situation I felt it necessary to share, had no idea how the community would react. To be honest I was a little disappointed in the lack of response, but in all fairness people check this page on their own time so one can't expect results immediately. Once the conversation drifted I figured "ahh well, 'tis the way of the internets!" But, over the past couple days recognition of it has trickled into the thread and I feel much better. Glad to hear that plenty of you care. Greg was quick to contact myself and Ben, I'm also glad to hear from the rest of you that were concerned about this matter. It is truly sad to lose a member of our group.

This is a thought that I had early on. I was, (and still am, to some degree,) hesitant about how that would go over. However, I think that a gift from strangers could not go over poorly. I would hope that any grief that it brought on would be overridden by the joy from learning to even strangers had been positively affected by his life.

If others in here would like to contribute to a gift card, I would be all for it. Perhaps we could all put in suggestions of where the gift card should be to and send the money to Greg or someone else in the Dayton area's Paypal, and that person could buy and mail the card. Even though Greg is a sleazeball, I think we can all agree that it would be quite fun to have a reason to curbstomp him together! Think of it as a teambuilding exercise...

The gift card doesn't have to be to anywhere..you can get those prepaid debit cards and that way she can use it where she needs

In all seriousness, I too am in for 50. I am very pleased to hear that the rest of you shitwicks burn a little brighter than i originally gave you credit for!:typing:

If not a gift card, we could collectively contact the funeral home and make a group contribution to those expenses?:notsure:

This is a great point, that had slipped my mind. I would just like to do something to help out the fam given how recent the birth of his child was and how devastating and difficult moving forward will likely be for them. The prepaid card thing is a brilliant idea, perhaps the best bet!

I would trust Greg to not use the money for a new rear bumper.

What say you Greg? You have a PayPal, and willing to accept our funds, and willing to buy / deliver a prepaid VISA card to the family?

If he's not able, I will.

Any other part of his rig...? Probably already upgraded... rear bumper?.. oooooh no trust there I'm afraid!:D

But rly, Greg, plz give us a paypal or other means of sending you money and it's done. I know that you have not made the offer in this thread quite to the degree that you insinuated in our PMs, but I feel safe in assuming that you are comfortable turning our collective money into some sort of debit/giftcard/funeral expense item. Send the email and we will fill that account with cash-ola brudda!

Please and thank you. Much respect!

I'd be willing to collect the funds as well and deliver/mail a gift card to Bryan's spouse. I've been keeping an eye out for any information on memorial service in the Dayton area, as I feel inclined to go. The more I looked at Bryan's build thread and his profile, the harder this has hit me. He was 28, I'm 29. He was an engineer, so am I. He loved his Tacoma and rode motorcycles, so do I .

My paypal account is crazyaussie2686@yahoo.com. Greg, if you want to do the honors, I'm fine with that as well.

Edit: Just remembered: when sending paypal funds, make sure to send as family or gift so they don't take out fees.

If Todd wants to collect, that is fine. If you decide differently, just let me know. I also am keeping my eye out for memorial services to attend. I will post info if I see it, as I'm sure Todd or any of you would if you guys see it. I am on board with a 50 dollar contribution, and will also wait to hear if any other assistance is needed.

Paypal wallet is less than $50 at the moment, funds take about 2 days to transfer. Will send you the money then.

Thank you for finding this, Greg. I am currently wrestling with whether or not posting a condolence is appropriate having never met Bryan in person.

We all chatted with him one way or another, He was going to be with us at Wills creek, but did the right thing and stayed with his wife. I don't see any reason to not send condolences. He was a part of this group. I just sent another message to Ben letting him know what we are doing for Bryan's family, and asked him to send condolences on behalf of his TW family. I would have liked to attend his funeral, however I am on duty tomorrow and can't get time off on such short notice. I asked Ben to keep in touch, as I am sure Bryan's family and friends are still busy with making arrangements and grieving, to let us know the best way to present Bryan's wife with the gift card, and to let us know if there is anything else we could do for Bryan's family.

Greg, thanks for posting the funeral announcement. I plan on stopping by during visitation hours. My thought was presenting the gift card to Bryan's wife at the service, but given the service is tomorrow, I want to keep our fundraising effort open longer. Greg, keep us posted on recommendations from Ben on best way to present to Lindsey.

Quick note for those of you sending paypal funds (I have already received Greg and Adam's money), but for future donations, could you please make a note when submitting the fund transfer that they are for Bryan's Memorial? This will help me keep the funds separated from other paypal funds I receive from the occasional Ebay business I do.

Edit: Whoops, did not realize the visitation was in Marshall, IL. I assumed it was closer to Dayton. I will not be able to make the visitation as previously mentioned.
