    Morning, faces!
    Happy Friday.
Came home to 18 eggs in the laying boxes last night. Apparently this warm weather has nudged the birds' production up.

Nothing fun, really. Hopefully I'll be able to finish working up the massive pile of tree-length firewood into 4-foot lengths and moving them out of the spot I plow snow to. After they're cut to 4 foot I'm stacking them out of the way to start seasoning for next year. Plus I've got to straighten my garage out; I've been doing projects in there all summer and right now we couldn't park a car in there to save our lives. So I've got to get that squared away for winter parking purposes. And I've got to dig my carrots out and get them frozen, can off a batch of soup stock I've had simmering for a couple of days, etc. Just a list of general fall chores.
I may sneak out for a couple of hours on Saturday and do some bird hunting, though.

Ahh yes cleaning the garage is one of my projects this weekend. And the basement. I honestly don't even know if either of our suvs could fit in the garage. I moved my 92 out of the garage this summer cause my dad wants to use it, but he hasn't picked it up yet so it's been sitting outside which caused me to pile shit in the garage.

For me it was just all of the vehicle and house projects from this summer. I've got old fuel & brake lines, old spring shackles, old timing belt and cover and muffer/tailpipe from the '84, old pads rotors & pins from the Tacoma, old shoes, wheel cylinders, fuel and brake lines from the '69, and a crapton of tools scattered all over the floor. And they're all covered with sawdust and wood scraps from various house projects. Plus I ripped out the gas stove from the living room, so I've got that plus the old chimney in the way.
It's just a mess. Looks like a bomb went off. Or I got robbed. Or a bomb went off while I was getting robbed.

I know. I've had 5 offers since it's been sitting in my side yard to buy it and it's only a 2wd. I'll get it back in before the first snowfall(hopefully)

Leaves, leaves, leaves. Just did the side yard last weekend and don't look like I touched it.

Yesterday sucked. A tub faucet should not take all fkn day to replace for a 40 yyr plumber, shows how much my house sucks

I need to do some serious leaf clean up. Other than that, going to take the dog and see how he does flushing birds on Sunday. At the very least, I'm sure he'll have fun doing it.

Looks like I'm layin' low this weekend. Got the upper chest cold thing that's going around and am now loosing my voice. Still have leaves to get up - the oak is finally getting rid of its grip on them. I have a really big oak in my front yard. When I bought the house, I tried to measure the circumference with a 15' tape... It wasn't big enough; had to get the 25 footer. When I had to have some tree work done, a few arborists stopped by and everyone of them would say: "Wooowww, that's one big old tree"

I love seeing old, big trees like that. I had to take out a really old maple when we moved in. It wasn't nearly as large as yours but if I bear hugged the truck, I wasn't even half way around it with my arms. The ants got to it and the whole center rotted out. I couldn't chance it, if it fell it would have come crashing through my house, my garage or my neighbor's house and it had power lines around it also. We did get a lot of firewood out of it though.

My neighbors have a really old birch that is showing signs of an infestation in the trunk. If it topples over, It will take out a chain link fence around my property and crash into my deck....I have my fingers crossed this winter will make that happen!

I will pay my deductible and get a new deck and fence lol.
