I dealt with Toyota of Sylacauga. Not sure they anymore 15's though. Jim Chance was the salesman I dealt with. They gave me a pretty good deal. I have tried to deal with Serra a couple of times, they are a frickin joke. Good luck to you. Give Jim Chance a call and check him.

I went through the same thing June before last. Same dealer. Needless to say I kept my truck. They also would not budge a single cent. Even after a hefty down payment of half. I'm hesitant on dealing with them again but they have been great otherwise.

I've hosted a few meets up in Hunstville and we would make it a Mod meet with a bit of a ride generally in the afternoon. It has been 2 years or so since I did one. Since we have quite a few newer members coming on board, I'll probably try to have one this spring. Other than that, we have organized a few trips to Stoney Lonesome in Dodge City or Montevallo for a ride.

I'm in the area and I have a Hobart Handler125EZ but it's only Flux-Cored. Not sure that you would get the strength weld you would need with but I dunno for sure. It will weld 18 gauge to 3/16".

At one time we had them fab our Tuned Mass Dampers for stacks. Not sure why we quit using them. They did good work but I think their price was high compared to another guy in Memphis.

When are we all going to meet up and grab a beer?

Aw man that blows! Well I hope it's at least a good job that you enjoy. I've had to deal with that monthly pay garbage before and I feel your pain.

Haha yeah it does, mostly cause I started at the end of the month, after a couple months it'll be OK. It's a good job, teaching high school kids industrial technology, mostly machining and manufacturing.

Hello fellow Alabamians...quick question. Do any of you know a reputable "Toyota mechanic" that you would recommend in the state not including dealerships? Looking for a good mechanic that knows a Toyota (2nd gen 2005 6cyl 4x4). I do most of my repairs but some are over my head and I would like to find a good and honest mechanic or shop to use when needed.

    Thanks

Might consider being a little more location specific. Lots of good places around, but if I give you a good shop in Mobile, but you live in Huntsville..... lmao
