    How long did the OEM Toyota battery on you truck last? I've at around 45,000 miles and I think mine's dying...:(

    My Taco has 30,100 on it, battery is still working

    Anybody wanna recommend a good one? I plan on adding off road lights and bed lights/back up lights.

    I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6
    3 to 4 years in SoCal heat is probably the max for a battery. I change mine out every 4 years regardless of mileage and regardless if it's still "good" or not. Better to be safe than sorry.

    My batts. seem to only last 2 years here. I used Optima in the past, but people have been haveing troubles with them recently. My next battery is going to be an Orbital, or Oddessey. :)

    Changing out every 4 years sounds about right... It's definitely better to be safe than sorry.....

    :(, i was actually thinking of getting an Optima Yellow Top

    im not a fan of optimas anymore, they seem to be hit or miss... unacceptable for how much they cost.

    ive been running interstate batteries for hte past 10 years on all my vehicles and never had any issues.

    FWIW, I have 2 yellow tops in my 2004 Dodge 2500 and have had no problems with them since I have installed them 4 years ago.

    Undercover bed topper, Nerf style step bars, Python alarm, Ham radio with 250 watt amp and chrome wheel well bling.
    Guys, batteries don't care about mileage. It's all about age and temperature. High and low temps can wreck havoc on an older battery. The battery in my Tacoma lasted 4 years, it died in December. The battery in my Avalon lasted 3 years.

    Upon changing a battery is there anything that has to be reset? Same question if you dissconnect your battery for some reason.

    So far 2 years and around 48k. It died below starting threshold twice so I'm sure the life was shortened, but I slapped my automatic charger on it and it's been fine since. I still keep my eye on it and am planning on an Odyssey at some point.
