I guess I don't understand the desire for the newer front on an older truck, seems like wearing a padded bra, yeah, looks nice, but it's false advertising, and very disappointing when the real deal is exposed.

hey i like my padded bras, they make me feel better about my non existent boobs (sarcasm), but yeah i see that point and part of me agrees but at the same time i know that i wont be able to afford a 12 or newer for a quite awhile and since this has fallen in my lap if its feasable im gonna go for it, if not, then ill stick with the old stuff.

 

I like it cause I think the 12-15 is such a good looking front end.

I want to make a memory circuit for my cb. I've got it on a Ign keyed power line and it resets to channel 9 when the truck is turned off. Anyone got ideas?

 

Did you take the wire from stock radio?

 

What wire? The radio has multiple 12v wires, one Ign keyed and one 12v constant to keep memory.

 

if you turn it off at the switch but not loose power to it, does it hold channel ?

what brand model ? some radios can actually be modded and the channel 9 default goes away.

I had a radio ( DeerSlayer 240 ) that after a a few clips and some tuning, it would do 240 channels ( above and below CB freq range ) and kicked 20watts. killer radio, wish I o would have kept it when I sold my '85
