Knocking in the dash on top of the radio

    Anyone knows what can be hitting inside the dash on top of the radio when driving in a pot hole road

    The radio could have worked loose as others have said. Just an idea, check your glovebox and make sure its not something in there before taking stuff apart.

    I just fix this last week. A knock noise in the center of dash, fairly high up. I had someone push they're fingers between the top of the dash and windshield and the noise was gone. It this sounds like your problem start buy removing the radio. Once out put you hand in the opening and feel for the top heating duct. That duct is banging against the firewall causing the noise. I took a piece of clear fuel line cut to approx 12" and laid it between the duct and firewall. Use your finger to push the fuel line between the duct and firewall. It just has to go in a little and it keeps the duct away from the firewall.
