Hey Rob. Flipped the table over and working on legs. 2 coats of poly on top so far.
I was just after an outdoor domino table and wife saw it after first coat and wants to throw out 20yo crappy table for this one.
Researching chairs right now. I dont have a lot of wood tools so I have to get creative. And call it "farm style"

    Farm Style FTMFW!

None of our stuff matches...it's all a mis-match of American - British sorta antique hodge-podge ... I guess that's sorta farm style. ;)

I'll get your table pic posted here and 40+ ... Ok?

    Morning all.
    That's a nice table!

Heading out in a few. Sitting up in a tree for a couple of hours. Then it's yard work.

"Cold" front went by last night. Went from low 70's to 54 right now. Crappy for deer hunting, but at least my furnace isn't running.

I cheated and darkened the wood putty in holes with marker and light sanded. Looks better now.

Good morning all. As I was trying to go to sleep last night the song Thunderstruck kept playing over and over in my mind. Wonder why.....

Yeah DVD's and CD's are optical media, WORM write once read many except for the read\write ones which don't last even as long. I remember reading a trade mag article a little more than 20 years ago that said until spinning disk dropped below a dollar a Megabyte optical would still be king. And I recall looking up and thinking this author is hitting the hash pipe, magnetic will never hit $1 Mb. let alone go below that. Just looked at the current prices and a 3 TB. 7,200 RPM 64 Mb. cache Seagate drive is $0.0000283 per Mb. And solid state magnetic drives are close to the same price as spinning platters now. We are replacing spinning disk with solid state and moving the spinning disk to replace tape backups. Still need to replicate data across geographic locations for Disaster Recovery and cluster locally for High Availability. Even then adding the cost up it is relatively inexpensive compared to just a few years ago.

Sometimes I feel like a walking historical time machine watching technology change so fast. On the other hand all that experience pays off almost every day, but it is a PITA trying to stay current. Swinging a sledge hammer against a slugging wrench on a steam flange in the belly of a ship wasn't so bad after all.

Damn Rob you know how to push my buttons, that was awesome!!

Last year I was over on the Mississippi River on a Saturday trying to shoot some Eagles and 20 miles to the South saw something in the air but couldn't make it out. Set the lens to infinity and snapped a few pics. When I got home as soon as I saw it knew right away- blue hornets meant the Blue Angles were around.

Checked on line and they were down in La Crosse. So I checked Google Earth and found a place on the bluffs that would give me a good view for Sundays show, ended up having the best seat in the house!

    @Cold Iron

While both teams are impressive, and although hard for me to admit as an AF guy, I think the Blue Angels have an edge over the Thunderbirds; might be I like the Hornets over the "lawn darts" :anonymous: But I was glad the Blue Angels were the lead for the air show the year I worked on the staff. :)

@MQQSE I'm jealous of you getting to ride Fat Albert on a flight deck LOL.

The group of us that hunt SD core guys are 4 retired Navy. There also 4 retired AF, all pilots. Three were fighter and one was a tanker driver. The fighter guys joke the only reason they hunt with the Navy is that they are stuck with the tanker driver too, they take the fighter pilot thing pretty seriously LOL. But at the end of the day we are all pretty tight. We can still out cook the AF guys though :D
