I was told by TRDParts4U the pressure sensors would work with these rims.
Yes for sure. Thank you so much!

Don't know if I want them on or off. But I'll put them on for rocky off roading to protect the stem

I think you have your priorities messed up to belly ache over $150 on wheels.

Not at all. $150 is $150.....I don't know much about wheels/tires and I know plenty on TW do so what does it hurt to ask for information from others who have experience in this area.

    Have a good one!

Yeah this is true. Sometimes we just don't know so it's better to ask. It's like there's already a post about something but you just cant find it on Search so you ask. I try to reply to those new post anyways bc it's just nice to help out if you can. Momma always said if you ain't got nothing nice to say don't say it.

When we are talking about peices of metal your $30-40K truck sits on. I think $150 is chump change. Its about a 10% difference in price. I'd go for what I know is a good product versus what some kid may have welded in his shop. People can sell some shady things on ebay.

If you think $150 is such a big deal, don't buy new wheels lol. They are expensive and serve only cosmetic purposes.

I gave my opinion. I think it's silly to belly ache over $150 when you are already buying a $800-$1,000 set of wheels. It is getting cheap over something important. Some people ask for opinions then get too sensitive when they don't hear what they want.

Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Now that is the NICEST SSM I've seen on this forum. I've always said wheels make the car/truck and you hit the nail on the head with the combo you chose. Nice work!!!

Not sensitive, who said I was being cheap? I never posted which rims I decided to go with. Again I had no clue if replica wheels were shit, decent or better than the real wheels which is why I asked. I appreciate your opinion thank you.

So when are we going to see a full side view of your truck with the TRD wheels on it?!?

Well I will be getting the needle bearing replaced next Saturday with the help of a couple of TacomaWorld brothers. And at the same time I am getting rear Icon shocks and a rear Icon 1.5 Progressive leaf pack. And front OME 887'S/5100'S put in. But unfortunately I will not run the TRD Beadlocks in the salty Winter here. So next summer bro sorry

I don’t know where you guys are getting your pricing but OEM TRD rims that I’ve researched are double the price of the replicas. As long as the replicas are load rated the same and have passed industry standards then I can’t see the harm in saving the $$$. Especially if it’s just cosmetic, if your off reading and putting your truck to the test then yeh but if your a just road warrior then decent replicas couldn’t hurt.

    Pro's to 17's

    Sportier look
Possibly slightly better on road performance
    More tire choices
    Lighter tires

    Pros to 16's

    More sidewall
    Sightly better off road
    Less likely to scratch

I personally like the look of 16's better on our trucks but those pro wheels are damn sexy!

Edit: just realized I got sucked into a 5 year old revival thread! :anonymous:
