only difference would be auto vs manual. tranny gears are different ratios I believe.

but I ran 285, 305 and now 315 on 4.56 gears. 285 was rough on the highway above 75 as the rpms are way high. but wheeling was easy.

305s will be similar to 295 and were a great match if you want to be over torqued. 315 is still over torqued luckily but if you're on the "34" range you'll be in a happy place. highway speeds will still be higher rpm but off road is wonderful. around town is fun and easy.

    He must have..haha

I know 4.56s on my dads is great with the 305s. So I bet it'll be like driving frank if you get 4.56s.

So those pics of the bumps and shocks are with a completely empty bed no tent or rack, nothing in it, not even a bed mat...

Oh yea, not denying that. I've got a trip to WI coming up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 1100 miles of loud MTR on the highway is rough.

truth! Running 35s and was a PITA to clear.. also relocated the cab mount 2" back .. that was fun .. gonna try to run 37s by next year.
Went from 3.73s on 33s, then 4.56s on 33s then 4.56s on 35s now I have 4.88s waiting to be installed, I just need a weekend to get it done but I don't have any time right now. I think the 4.56s / 35s was perfect IMO but I have an auto

Yea the mild winter condition performance is so horrible. To be expected with an MT tire. It's the reason besides noise that I want a different tire for the 4400 miles i'll put on in the next two (questionable weather) months on the highway.

Yea ride height with the tent/rack/co2/bedmat/stuff is about an inch lower. I weighed 5300 lbs empty at the dump today. That was with me and jen, a quarter tank of gas and nothing else in the truck. So about 5000 when completely empty. I also only have the front skid on. The mid skid and transfer skid are waiting for cleaning and new paint.

    guilty :anonymous:

i'm used to everyone cheating with the auto... :crapstorm:

then yes, you'll be fine with 4.56 and the 295 and still be fine if/when you chose to move up to 315/35s...wheeling will be much more enjoyable, and around town you'll appreciate the overgearing...i often find myself in 5th or 6th gear cruising around town at 35-45 mph

Easier with the puppy and we're bringing a tree back from the Xmas tree farm Jens family has. Also the truck is more comfy for long trips. We've done it in the fiesta and the 40mpg is awesome but its so small haha
