I wanted to level the truck and I am more than pleased with the results. The 5100s I bought had 4 adjustment positions on the front shocks. I put the snap ring at the second slot and it looks level to me. The front coil springs are stock. I also got an alignment and the the truck drive skrate as an arrow. The bilstein site shows the second slot at .64 inch and that was perfect. I think more than that would end up in bro dozer territory. The back suspension is stock except for the 5100 shocks

I am newbie here so pardon my question: what leveling does to the truck, look or ride improvement?

3" lift, goodyear wrangler duratracs 285/70r17, k&n filter, bakflip vp tonneau and tint.
    Looks and driving for corners.

But down side is when you have a load in the truck. Then it squats and shifts weight off the front wheels. So steering feels a little light if you have a heavy load.

    Depends on the tongue weight

    looks good!

is that an SR5? or a TRD? looks like it's stickered in the first frame (the before shot) but not in the second

can you quantify the increase in ground clearance? I would think it would be modest but measurable

I work for a Toyota Store here in Canada. Just some advice about the 5100's on the new Tacoma. They are the same Length as the Factory shocks now on the 2016's so you do not get a height benefit by swapping them out like you did in the Previous generation.

Possibly if you adjust. We did one and the Mechanic ended up ordering a different set and we put the BDS rear Fox shocks which were about 2" longer.

Just to be safe. Are you saying that the TRD Sport and TRD OR have the same ground clearance.

OP could you take a measurement from rim centerline to bottom of front fender? Interested to know how much lift this yielded.

Are you talking about the rear shocks? Because the front is a strut which is adjustable with the 5100s. That's the whole reason I bought them. You can't adjust to the upper limits of the shock/strut without changing the upper control arms due to alignment issues

It's an SR5. It came with a TSS package and that's what the stickers indicate. I removed them pretty quickly. I also debadged the tailgate. I will measure the fender height when the weather clears. It's pouring down here in Louisiana
