If you care enough to send them, then they are appropriate.

    50 sent. Thanks Todd.

A few years ago I went to a kid's calling hours and funeral that I didn't know. She got killed in a DUI crash in my town, by a drunk. She was sober and totally innocent - coming home from a movie. I spend a lot of time catching DUIs, and I just felt bad, like if I had stopped one more car that night maybe I could have saved her. Anyway, I told her family that I didn't know her but I wanted to offer my condolences in person, and they were extremely grateful. Knowing that a loved one has had an effect on a stranger is a happy memory that the family can bank and think about later. "These guys didn't even know Bryan but they cared for him". It means something.

This pretty much sums up what I'm thinking as well. Condolences sent, just waiting for money to hit my paypal and I'll send it to you Todd. Sad story Mark, but I'd like to thank you for all the deaths you've prevented with your caught DUIs. I wouldn't be surprised if you've inadvertently saved the life of a family member or friend of one of us on here by now!

Not knowing anything about cb's, how does this compare to a regular sized cb setup?

It's not as strong because everything is so compressed inside and built for least space consumption. If you want distance and strength you would go with a HAM radio
