I have never tried this product. I have tried 2 other products with no success. A shot in the foot does work wonders for about 2 months to keep my pain away.

So you shoot yourself in the foot so you don't feel the pain somewhere else? Can't you only do that twice ??? :notsure:

Well yes and no.. LOL The foot doc gives me a double acting cortisone shot. Feels good right away and continues to keep the pain at bay for 2 months.

I had one in my elbow years ago. Can't compare to your situation.

It doesn't appear to be working.... have used it a few times now although the label says can take a few uses to see results :notsure:

Been lurking for awhile I'm not qualified to be in here as I'm 57. But I also get the cortisone shot in my left foot for degenerative arthritis it is good for ~2 months of relief for me also. I got into Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine finally their patients are mainly pro sports, Olympic athletes, Special Forces, etc. They will only let me have a shot once every 4 months. Doing an ultrasound injection to get it into the exact spot does seem to help it last a little longer. They sent me to one of their bio-metric specialist that built me a pair of orthotics to help prevent the bone on bone rubbing and that also helps. I pretty much work all year to take a month off to grouse and pheasant hunt and now can go 6-8 miles a day busting brush looking for birds with the dogs. Far cry from the 10+ miles a day I used to do only a few years ago but better than sitting on the couch. They can replace knees, hips, etc. but feet not so much....

    Mile:
Welcome to the thread. I am waiting on a walking stick so I can attempt to get back in the woods for shorter 2 to 3 mile hikes with the family. I am feeling a lot better now. Not so much today because I think I have the start of a cold.

I don't qualify for this thread either, but they let me hang around as long as I don't cause trouble.

Tom I hope that you kick that cold and get the upper hand soon! And good luck with the walking stick, I have found that level ground helps a lot no more side hilling in the mountains for me :(

 Hi Susan! I can't imagine you causing any trouble! Maybe a poke or two but not trouble....

Welcome to the thread, Mike. Susan is right .... you're close enough to qualify posting here. We had a few folks named Mike here when I arrived so I started using the moniker TEX. Jump in and watch where you step.

    Afternoon all:
57 should be close enough, we will give you a few bonus years when you fill up the cooler!:)

:annoyed:Had another buck at about 12 yds. this morning, not enough horns! Also saw another one at around 50-60 yds. that may not have been legal. ALSO saw one going through the brush at about 80 yds. that may have been another buck, not sure about that one though.
Tomorrow I WILL be in a climbing treestand, so if you don't hear from me I probably fell out of it.

Thanks! Don't forget your safety harness! Archery season? I shot quite a few in Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga counties in years past. When Dr. Gary Alt left Pa. after the antler restriction debate he stopped here for awhile. The Bluffs whitetail association hired him as a consultant and now SE Mn. has antler restrictions. Didn't really understand the whole river bottom buck thing Gene and Barry Wensel brothers talked about until I moved here. They have moved down into Iowa now though.

    ALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad::annoyed::facepalm::rant::brianr::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:!
Guess you can tell I'm not a fan of his!:D
Used to sound like a war on the first day of buck, now you hardly hear any shooting on the first day of deer.
I'm seeing deer, but nothing like before; not even in the ballpark. It doesn't help either that there are developments up against every gamelands and state forests in the entire NE corridor of PA., in other words the Poconos.
We already went 7 for 7 on buck, I would say that's almost impossible to do today, thanks to ***! (I cant even say his name) :D
I can see antler restrictions, but shooting off the amount of doe that has been allowed is preposterous. It takes doe to produce buck! If I wanted to hunt hard to get a good buck I'd start going back to Maine, or go to Ohio, Michigan, or Minnesota. Even NJ has deer management, and when we hunted over there, there were plenty of deer on open land.
BTW! Plenty of deer living in the developments and where there's large tracts of posted land.

Uh Oh Boats and hope it is OK to call you that, MMC(SW) USN Ret. here. Didn't mean to rock the boat too much but was wondering how it was working out with antler restrictions in Pa. so I am guilty of "poking". A lot of vehicles parked in SGL areas had Fire Alt Now! posters inside the dashboards back then. Sounds like they may have been correct even though he resigned on his own.

I took my youngest son back to Pa. for youth season both deer and birds every year he was eligible. He killed his first deer ~100 yards from the same spot that I killed my first deer. PGC gets some things right IMO...

Mn. game laws are determined by the legislative branch and not DNR or other biological resources so it could always be worse! Wisconsin deer season doesn't start for awhile yet but Mn. opened last Saturday. Don't you think the bucks need to pass on their genes first before you take them out of the gene pool and the rut is in full swing?! There is a reason the Wensel brothers moved down to Iowa but Buffalo county across the river in Wi. is still a hot spot for a reason.

I look forward to your reports and hopefully a successful year! Those self climbing deer stands though... Keep thinking back to a Baker self climber I had in the 70's and used in a self pruning pine tree. Storm came in with a lot of ice and when I went to go down the tree I managed to make it the ground in a second flat, leaving a lot of skin on the tree. Please be careful!

    Afternoon all:

Crunch time for archery, ends this Sat., even went out in the rain this morning; 2 got behind me and winded me.

Yea Mike that one is getting hard to get, like I said, I haven't hunted archery for years and figured with the gun season getting so pathetic, it's time to get as much time in the woods as possible. I'm happy with the amount of deer I'm seeing, just haven't been lucky enough to get a legal buck or doe in front of me.

Chief Mike! I still have a baker somewhere, they served their purpose! I also had a few slips using one, trick was to find a tree with heavy bark, that thing could be touchy on smooth barked trees.
There are some nice racks being taken now in PA. Like I said, I'm not against antler restrictions at all, it's the slaughter of the doe that irks me and everyone else. Seems like they went way overboard trying to get the deer heard down, you need those does to get the buck. Believe me, *** should have stayed with bear, he was good at that.
Places like Hickory Run state park, most of the state gamelands and state forests, had good populations of deer, no more thanks to ***!
Most people you talk to figure it has more to do with insurance companies, way less deer, way less accidents involving deer, which means way less claims. :notsure:
Where I'm hunting is a finger of a state park that extends into a development, that's why I'm seeing deer! 50 yd. safety zone with a bow, 150yd. with a firearm. I think that place gets hammered during rifle season, but all they have to do is run into the development and as long as they stay in there they are safe.

I've heard insurance companies also, like you not sure.... In the early 80's I'd see somewhere around 60 deer a day but those days are long gone I'm sure. I also remember back when doe season was "doe day". Sounds like your hunting smart Boats! Gun season is open here, I took a pic of a yearling bedded 30 yards from my house the other day and posted it on this forum. Went back a couple of hours after I posted it and Mom had joined her
    [IMG]

Yeah the smart ones are right in the backyards now LOL. Although I can shoot them with the bow here on my property if I wanted to. Maybe they've seen me shoot and feel safe?!

    Nice pic.!
I have a doe and her two fawns hanging around my house, I consider them neighbors so they are safe!
Funny how things change. When I started hunting you were allowed 1 deer, and there were plenty of deer.
2 weeks for buck, and 3 day doe season. There were 2 deer seasons, archery and rifle, now there's a really long archery season (crossbows made legal), early muzzleloader season (doe only, and seniors can use a rifle on the last 3 days), a early junior season (they can shoot spikes), rifle season (both sex with doe tags), and last a flintlock season combined with a late archery season. If you didn't get a buck, and have a ML lic., it turns into a doe tag, and can shoot either a buck or doe with it.
When *** first started the demise of the deer population, some guys had 3-4-5-6 doe tags, now they are cutting them back. They could probably stop all doe hunting for 5 yrs. in order to bring back a reasonable herd.
Too bad the sportsman can't sue *** and the Pa. game commission for what they did.
Wonder if all the "NEW" seasons have anything to do with $$$$$$$$$?
Also seeing WAY less hunters, places that were lined up with cars, and parking lots that were full, no longer are.
When you spend 110 hours in a treestand, and your dad 80 hrs., in an area that once had plenty of deer, and don't shoot a buck, that should tell you something. A buddy of mine and his dad did that, and after that my buddy hasn't even bought a lic. for the last 3 yrs. They hunted that area for years, his dad is 78.
