What are those plastic things on your tailgate end of the tonneau in the 4th pic...??

Also From the inside pics.... how does the FRONT part tie down to the bed... I see clamps about 12" down the sides.. is that it....??

In the 4th pic, the only plastic things I see are not on the tailgate side. they are the clips that the straps secure into to hold it secure when it's fully folded up. Not sure if that's what you're talking about.

Yes, those clamps are what secure the front down. One on each side, about 8-10" from the front. So there are a total 4 clamps that keep this top down. Two in front, two in back. The ones in the back are speed clamps, just spring loaded. It's surprisingly tight, all the way around.

OP that looks very nice.. I like it a tad better than the factory set up as well.. The cost is a little high IMO though. Plus as much as I use the bed it wouldn't really be feasible for me. Still considering a color matched ARE topper but hesitant for same reason. Not sure how much, and if I'd regret it after buying it..

I'm getting drips of water down the sides of the bed when it rains. Not much, but it's not water tight by any means. It's probably the texture of the plastic on the top of the bed rails that is causing the leakage.

OK... I just figured it out... what I was seeing is the back of the cab...not the tailgate...

The reflexion of the garage door made me think I was looking at the tailgate,,.... Problem solved...

Nice cover... I'm getting one in 10 days...at the same time as Corrosion Free application..!!!!!!

ITs a must have for me. Waiting patiently for the TruXport roll up. I need to use the entire bed and don't want to have to remove the Tonneau to do so. So the roll up is lite, and water proof. Had one before.

You don't like the Truxedo Lo Pro QT?? I like it better as it sits lower on the bed rail. You only have one latch to trip also to open it.

I don't see $200 more on that one. Its nice but both latches are not an issue.

Anyone who is interested in buying the solid fold 2.0 go to http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/ they have a 15% coupon code on their website. When you put in the code it's going to say it's not valid for your item. Just call customer service and they will honor your coupon.

Also fast shipping I ordered the solid 2.0 last Sunday and I received it on Friday. It came out to 696.15.

Just installed. Pics are shortly after a long, steady rain overnight. No excessive wind or sideways, just constant rain. Truck was parked outside on a level surface out in the open. Basically, this thing leaked from every side. All gaskets are verified installed correctly. My Trifecta never leaked a drop on my last truck. I am pretty disappointed. Waiting on Extang technical look into this so I can at least have my shipping cost covered for the return.

I hate to send this back because I love the look, function, and build quality. I think the leaking is due to the rough bed caps (for traction?). I have even considered fairing them down so they are smooth. Shouldn't have to modify my new truck but that is still an option.

Might be a 3rd gen issue. Mine only ever leaks a little in the spray wash. 2013 ACLB.

That is the exact concern I have - the fact that it's rough, and that parts of it are raised and parts are not, creating slots that would allow water in. But man, yours looks like water is coming in EVERYWHERE. If I have the same result, mine is going back. I can handle a little water, but that's ridiculous!

Cutting of the bed liner?! I ordered mine with the factory cover (2 weeks out until delivery). How do they modify the bed liner?

They cut notches in the top bed caps. And look closely they do not do a good job of it. In my opinion looks very amateurish.

That's a bummer, we were thinking about getting a Extang cover also. I like the look of it, but it needs to be near water tight. Will have to see how this all plays out.

Hey did you notice the gap between the front rail and the box sides (in your pic #2) ..?? I have and I've filled them with foam sealant, but yours looks like it's leaking form all over.... I'm thinking you are right about the rough box top..... I'd consider getting that peel & Stick foam tape that goes on the box before installing a hard shell...... It's worth a try, and the only time you would see it is when the top is open....

You did have it screwed down good and tight, right..?? Maybe the new foam on the cover needs to become "familiar" with it's "mating" surface for a while and it'll take on that profile...?? I'd crank it down real good first.... then consider the peel -n stick...

Does your 2013 bed rail caps have a texture on them like mine in the pictures?

My Dad's 2011 Tacoma was sitting beside it for comparison. His bed rails have the same texture as mine. He don't have a tonneau cover on his, but I am just saying that with the same type of bed caps on the 2nd gen, I would assume that Extang would have some bad press by now.

The cover was secured as discussed in the instructions. I wouldn't go any tighter for fear of creating 'dimples' in the top of the cover as seen in other forums.
