You can rotate the lower portion of the strut. If it's too stiff by just your hand, a large screwdriver in the shock eyelet should get it done nicely.

Did you try rotating the entire coilover in different positions? It should fit unless something is messed up. At least mine did anyway. :notsure:

Thanks, I called John at TRDParts4U (where I bought the kit) and he agreed. It's not easy to turn, but get the top of the strut bolted in and use something to spin the bottom to line up. Its literally off by like 2-3 degrees on each one...

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Do this. I did it on mine and it really seemed to help with bump steer. I would really consider putting on a different sway bar too. The sports have a heavier sway bar then the off roads/base models

I just tried and sure enough, I rotated the bottom strut eye easily by putting a screwdriver in there. Thanks for the advice!

I know the Dakars leaf packs are infamous for squeaking/creaking and mine are no exception. Had I known this I would have probably gone in a different direction. Thinking about swapping them out with another leaf pack or putting the stocks back in with AAL. I don't really haul heavy loads. Any ideas or suggestions? Currently running 885s, Nitrocharger Sport Shocks, SPC LR UCAS, and the Dakars.

Billy 5100 at 2.5", 1.5" blocks, tailgate theft mod, extra bed D-rings. General Grabber AT2's.
So I'm getting my frame replaced this spring and I'm thinking about upgrading my suspension while its all apart, currently have stock TRD offroad coils on 5100's set at 2.5", stock uca's, 1.5" block in the rear. Can I run 884's on my access cab and get decent alignment with stock uca's? I'm planning on swapping out the block for a 1.5" AAL at the same time.

So if I were to buy this kit I would get 3 inches of lift and have an off road ready truck without having to buy anything else?

It will get you close to 3" depending on how much weight you have up front. I have a little over 2.5" w/ 886s. Does that include Dakars?

Yes, it does include the Dakars but I'm thinking about calling and asking if they can remove them from the kit and that way I will be able to buy the All-Pro standard duty 3 inch leaf pack. I really don't want the rough ride everyone says comes along with dakars.

Will I need extended brake lines or new bump stops?
