Was just informed that I can expect to mine on Nov 23rd. Which is cool, as it's my Sons birthday. Ordered back in late October, so it will be roughly a month long wait.

Purchased the BF Goodrich LT 285/60P 18' the 265 18' do not have white lettering - so went with 285 which is perfect for off road muddy woods pulling 5'x10' trailer and 700 lb ATV.

Ordered mine 10/26 and put the deposit down. I drove 2 hours to go to the dealership i got my 06 from, which was a great experience. No info at all at this time. They wouldn't give me a build date and the salesman communicated much better before the deal than after. I went to a dealer 20 m away from me to test drive one 2 or 3 weeks ago and they gave me a build date of 11/12. Starting to think I should've just stayed around here. The build is a DCSB OR auto 4x4 in quicksand

So I have a mess of a story to tell. On Sept 21st I put down a $1000 deposit for a 16 TRD BBP OR DCSB with Prem Tech/JBL, tow package, mud flaps, door edge film, all weather mats with door sill protector, clear bra, exhaust finisher, and tint (dealer installed). The truck purchase price was $37,825 with $179 dealer fee and the $1 kansas fee. Waited for 3 weeks and asked my dealer to send me the V spec with the vin and truck info. They sent it to me and it didn't have JBL. I called and talked to a manager and he said that in my region that is not an option to order. So now after having them with my $1000 deposit for over a month they just now figured out how to get me my truck. They have to have a dealer out of my region order it then have ti transferred to my dealer. This has been a nightmare of a process. They did say the numbers they provided me did not have the JBL but they would eat that cost. They gave me a new window of 6-16 weeks to get this truck. Anyone have any input on this and any tips on what I should do?

Not much you can do unless you want to drive around hitting up dealers daily for their shipments and seeing one get a delivery matching what you want. Otherwise you will just have to wait and see for the truck build and shipment. There was a delay in my order and it pushed me getting my truck back by almost a month. If another delay happens, I'll say fuck it and go get an F150.

Ya I almost told them to screw off and go buy a Silverado Z71 for less money! 10k rebate is pretty substantial but I want a Toyota. Not a chevy fan at all. Im a mechanical engineer so I am not sure about the Ecoboost. We will see how it holds up over time.

Why would ford list msrp if dealers are giving 10000 off msrp? That's just stupid

Same reason why retailers from automotive to electronics all list MSRP only to offer discounts. But you're right. Totally stupid :notsure:. I wonder if it has anything to do with psychology. The illusion of getting a deal will get people thru the doors. And that's what matters in a consumption economy.

The big three have taken this to a new level with their trucks. I have no idea what one of these trucks should really cost because MSRP is so divorced from actual sales prices. $10k off is pretty common. I guess that makes people feel like they are getting a smoking deal but it's really just average. It's actually nice that invoice and MSRP on Toyota trucks are reasonably close.
