So over the past few weeks I've been looking at trading my Tacoma in for a 4Runner. Trail Premium to be exact. Unseen, I've had trade-in offers of $29,500 (2) and $29,000. I thought they were pretty decent offers. Good enough that I wasn't going to haggle.

Well, AutonationToyotaSouthAustin (herein ANT) pulled in a white TP that was low on options - perfect. E-mailed internet manager, told him what i was getting elsewhere as far as price and trade value. Went through the process...their trade-in offer? $24,000. I e-mailed the "Internet Sales Manager" that I had been chatting with and said "Yeah, the price is alright ($700 over invoice). Trade-in value, however, is not. Thanks for your time, glad we could get that figured out quickly."

ANT replied "what were you wanting to get for your truck maybe i can get more"

    Maybe?

Couldn't really find anything about them online. Looks to be basic lifts. Give them a shout. Or why not just do it yourself?

Anyone have a good tire shop in Fort Worth? I need some tires mounted and an alignment, without getting bent over and pounded.

I had my sliders installed by CSP in McKinney. They were awesome to deal with.

stop by one of the Mexican shops if you are looking for cheapest possible mounting. I bought the alignment package from NTB....$179 for the 3 year transferable...I think they have other options now, but I've gotten my moneys worth for sure with that deal.

Anyone know what size u-bolts are needed on the 2nd gens? I know what length I'll need, but I need to know rod diameter and width.

Firestone does a lifetime alignment for around $175 and there's a $20 off coupon on their site for 1-30Nov. I use the one on Cherry lane and have been happy with them. Or a single alignment about $75. Mount and balance is about $10-20 a wheel for lifetime.

Check out Toms Southside Alignment in Arlington. Has done a great job with getting my alignment spot on with a few vehicles and is reasonable priced. Think it was around $60. For tires just hit up discount tire.

I had the lifetime alignment through them on my 4runner back in CA. Hadn't seen one out here though, I'll look it up, thanks!

There's one on 377 right next to Whataburger. I was thinking about going over there after my 3 year runs out. However, I've gotten to know and like the guy who does it on my Tacoma at NTB. Once you find a good tech, keep going back to him.

Lift installs are super easy on these trucks. What kind of lift are you looking at?

Currently have 265/75/16's on my DCSB and removed front mud guards. They still rub a small amount under hard braking. I would like to get a 2.5" lift installed. Only have 25k on my truck, and not interested in doing an AAL. Considering doing 5100's front/rear with 2.5" in front and 1" block in rear.

Read alot of threads on these lifts and consensus is blocks arent recommended in the rear however most see and have no issues with a 1" rear block.
