The 2.7 has a chain, but yah op should definitely check on the water pump for leakage and see if the pulleys grind at all (you'd probably have heard it by now)

I have often wondered (not that often) if the timing chain really ever could get enough slop to do any harm with all the guides and tensioners on it. Toyota calls it a "lifetime" part.

Got the URD 7th injector in, 2.1 Pulley, changed the spark plugs, TC Diff drop kit and after we got done we felt kinda worthless so we did the Grey wire mod real quick. Then started drinking, ok,there was a few prior but it was after 10 AM I swear.image.jpg image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

It's a 12" strap that came with the TC kit. If your looking for one, I would get one that is shorter. Maybe a 10 or 11. Depending where you mount it to the LCA.

I've changed the head at around 150,000 and the chain looked brand new. I don't see why anyone would have to change it. Its will take a lot of time to ware that chain down. It's more of the chain guides that worry me they are plastic. But hey now i'll have to worry about belts again.

Is that mounted on the air bag panel? Seems a little sketchy if you were to get into an accident with a passenger.

By the time it's ready to drive another species is going to have to have a mass extinction and get buried by 10s of millions of years of sediment in order to decompose into biofuel...

....because Earth's current reserve of oil/gasoline will be long gone.

I'm working on my valve cover gaskets right now and was wondering how you remove the spark plug grommets?

Well I got a problem. Not too long ago I pulled someone out of the sand, had my truck in 4lo with the rear diff on. Gave my truck 5 pretty hard tugs (4-6 mph) with a chain. Today I experienced my truck isn't coasting right. It slightly accelerates then slows down, accelerate, slow down. Basically it tugs the truck then accelerates like normal and it keeps repeating until you give it some gas. Also when I take a sharp turn going less than 4 mph my tire chirp. Someone said it might be the carrier bearing but I don't know I thought it would be my rear gears.

Edit: here are some photos of my drivetrain.
