Maureen is out of town for a few more days I think... Mike Verble is taking over for her and he is a little out of his element I think...

Alright, why me.... I installed my pop and lock about a month ago. I test locked and opened a few times. Yesterday, I took my snowblower in for repairs. Unlocked the tail gate, put in the snowblower. Got to the repair shop. Can't open tail gate. I tried locking and unlocking and pulling and pushing it back in and everything else I can think of. Any ideas how to open the tail gate???? I am not sure if one of the rods came out or what!!!!!

    Wow...that sucks! Sorry dude :(

It sounds like one of your rods came out. Can you access your bed and remove the panel without opening the gate? Can you get to all of the star bolts that you removed?

If necessary, remove the ones you can get to and bend that cover back. You might be able to reconnect a rod from there.

yeah that is what happened, turns out one of the clips got broken maybe when I did the install or whenever so I got the clips special ordered (4.18 a piece), and I should have it fixed today. Thanks for the help.

Any status on this, dgerm? Did you get the 8520s, and if so, when do you think you'll be able to send them out. I know it's Thanksgiving this week, but I just needed an update. Thanks!

Along those lines, still hoping to get my PL5300 shipped in the near future, so I can get it installed before I take off for Christmas. Will need to try and buy one from somewhere else soon if I can't get this one, kinda frustrating...

Edit: On second thought, you can scrap mine, sick of waiting. Dgerm has had the extra 5300s for a month and a half, and if mine hasn't shipped by now, not sure why I think that'll change any time soon. After the $9 shipping he wants, it's only a few bucks cheaper than buying from TruckAlterations anyway, so went that route. Just wish I'd decided that months ago. Know you've had a rotten time with Pop n' Lock on this order, Dgerm, but a good amount of the problem has been slacking, delays, and lack of communication from you, as well. Not a good sign when you ignore so many messages and PMs that people suspect you of scamming them!

Good luck to everyone else still trying to figure this out and put it to bed, I'm calling it on this one...

Fuck and the power locks dont fit in the same size boxes as the last power lock batch. The post office usually has the bigger "Shoe Box" sized boxes in stock so I will find out tomorrow
