This looks awesome. Do you have a link for the halos that you used?

I used the morimoto color change halos which are pretty awesome and bright. Only complaints is the colors are off for white(more of a blue) and orange(it's more yellow and green then orange) from TRS here http://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...moto-xc-led-rgb-halos-49808.html#.Vj9vS188KJI
This is the third time I've done halos, second on my Tacoma. Definitely go with these or something along the lines instead of cheaper eBay alternatives! I made that mistake and they were crap.

I decided to mount the switches in here instead of under HVAC controls after reading the challenges of finding switches that fit and since I had these this is where they are now mounted in the truck. A body saw makes for quick and accurate cutting of that plastic. I laid out some painters tape for a guide, drilled a hole in each corner, and got to cutting.

Thanks. I normally cannot draw a straight line with a ruler, but I took my time and measured it at least 5 times to make sure they were straight and parallel.

Whats a good way to learn how to weld. Self taught that is. Ive thought about grabbing a harbour freight welder so i can teach myself the basics..

After getting a nice 6" dent/crease in D/side rocker panel from a piece of plastic kicked up on turnpike, ordered these just now T054RKRQC
. $379 on Amazon vs $421 from Nfab direct, same part. Can't believe how flimsy the metal is there compared to the FJ's plastic in that spot.Live & learn. Don't want running boards or anything that sticks out. These are very close to FJ's Rock Rails, clean looking & WILL prevent future dents/creases. Gonna get quote from Toyota tomorrow & submit to Ins.

Not exactly self taught. I took a course at a local community college for two nights a week. Learned MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. Got to try a few cutting processes too.

There's 3-4 inches easily. Should fit there no problem.
