I just went onto the Riverview Toyota website to go check out the Tacomas they have and pretty much instantly got grabbed by a Roxanne on their chat about buying a new truck. You guys are dangerous....very very dangerous.

Talk to Chris, he knows his shit on these trucks and is the one guy in the place who can make things happen . . . or not because he's not about to pressure or even passively 'peer' pressure you into a truck. When you're ready, and want a truck, he's the dude to see . . .

I admit it.....I had no clue what a Mitsubishi Raider even was an had to go look it up. And exactly what do you mean by "fingering your truck" The images i'm getting in my head just aren't computing.

Out of curiosity Chris this may be a dumb question, but if I'm a Georgia Resident who will be living in AZ for a little while working out a contracted job while but keeping my GA residency status are you able to do the Georgia registration or will it all be Arizona?

That's a great question actually, Georgia is what we call a NON reciprocating state so we would not be charging state taxes (5.6 %) if you purchased here, nor would I charge registration because I cant lol. We would provide a 90 day drive out and upon registering it in GA (which obviously you would have to do within 90 days ) you would pay your state tax there. The alternative would be just doing everything here and then just transferring plates when you get back home.

I just did something similar with a guy that drove all the way from Dallas texas to pick up a 16 Taco. Went smooth.

 

Why does it not surprise me Georgia is a difficult state to deal with. They are certainly "special". Yeah if I did that I'd look at doing the 90 day plate deal. Georgia charges you not only sales tax on the veichle but then when you register it, you pay the equivalent of 10 yrs worth of Ad Valorem tax all at once. On my last truck it was ~$3000 just for the registration, but you don't ever pay it again. They unfortunately don't let you pay it each year. And if you leave Georgia.....opps....sorrrry no money back for you. .

 

Damn ! I kinda feel like Georgia would be a state like that lol. It is beautiful in them parts, probably why they charge you so much lol.

 

Yeah the state was loosing money, most folks in Atlanta where the majority of the population is are very transient. No one is actually from atlanta, I maybe know 3 native atlantans. I myself being a transplant two different times. So they collect the money for 10 yrs worth of registration ad valorem tax up front and then if you decide to leave, ok, we have our money, have a nice day.

As for pretty....it has it's areas but frankly so much of the state is exactly the same.....Green with more and more green. It has nothing on Arizona which is by far one of the prettiest states I've ever been to it's in my top 5 all favorites. If I come down to Phoenix I suppose I will come say hello after all. Hide my wallet and keys so I'm not tempted to hand them over lol.

Chris is the man to work with. My ladyfriend was in the market for a new 4Skinner and he hooked it up big time. She couldn't be happier. He was able to snag exactly what she wanted from another dealer across town and then he had the finance guy whip the paperwork in less than 20 minutes with no frills or gimmicks. Never had such a quick and pleasant buying experience and I've purchased at least 6 new vehicles in my lifetime. Plus now that she got her new ride, I got the green light to buy myself a new truck. Hoping since I brought Chris the business it would grease the skids for my deal...but he ended up giving her such a good deal he's probably going to take it out on me with the truck!!!! lol just playin
