I recently replaced the dome light with a LED bulb and it works great, but only when the key is in the ignition and turned to ACC or On; basically the truck has to be turned on for the light to work. Kind of annoying to have to put the key in the ignition to use the dome light. The map reading lights work just fine with the truck off. Is this normal? I have never heard of this happening. Any ideas on what I can do to make the LED work normally?

Do you have keyless entry? My LED domelight works when I click on key fob.

My led dome light comes on as soon as I unlock the door with the key fob. And it stays on as long as the door is open and after I shut the door it stays on for at least 5 seconds or until I lock the door with the key fob or turn the key in the ignition and it shuts off. Not sure why your's is doing that. Maybe the LED light has a bad connection. The first led bulb I put in my dome light didn't connect well so I got another one and haven't had a problem since. Good luck!

I get my LED bulbs from another member "csjumper2003". Great guy to deal with. He can answer your questions.

I think you have the wrong LED bulb installed.

I used the same LED's for the interior as the guy on the thread that Norton provided used. The one's from O'reilly's. They are reasonably priced and I can exchange them locally if I need to
