warranty voided with bigger tires?

I just put some 255/75/17 inch tires and some pro comp 7089's on my truck and am not sure if it will void my warranty or not. My truck for a while has been making a weird squeeking/high friction sound at 60mph and up. I have no idea what this sound is and wanted to take it to the dealership so they can check it out. My truck only has 30,000 miles on it. Are these new larger tires going to void my warranty?

According to the Magnuson Moss warranty act, they would have to prove that the tires cause the problem before they could deny a warranty claim. It's not enough to just say he modified it so it's not under warranty.

 

This is good to know. Also for the future what about new coils, struts, add a leaf shocks that will be installed when i put my 3" lift on. Is that the same? Do they have to prove that what ever is broken is from those modifications?

nope i dont think it is the windsheild that everyone keeps talking about

 

I was told by the dealership if I put any tire size larger than the stock tire on my truck it will void the warranty.

I upgraded the dinky tires they put on the 2wd. I called a couple of different dealers and asked the question a couple of ways. Finally I asked a service guy" Have you ever voided a warranty because of larger tires?"
He said no.

 

There's no such thing as "voiding a warranty". Would you be denied warranty coverage under certain circumstances? That is possible, yes. But generally, no.
