My old elocker motor locked on no problem at highway speeds haha. Plenty of people drive with full spools or welded diffs. You don't really hear tire squeal at higher speeds for some reason it will happen low speeds turning. They are known to lock on. My old one got corrosion behind it and built enough pressure to crack the motor housing. I had to unlock the Diff with a screw driver.

Yeah it wouldn't really damage anything, only if you tried to engage/disengage at those speeds.

So, I was under the impression that post lifts were insane expensive, and typically just out of my realm of possibilities.

Found a really nice spot in the scale house on our farm that would be perfect for either a two post or four post. (Scale house was used for weighing show cattle. Since has been used to store Tammy Tacoma.)

So, now, I need some suggestions on post lifts. Anybody want to chime in?

 

Got both mine from Greg Smith equipment. Not plugging them or anything but my 7k (perfect hobby lift) for under $2000 brand new including tax and delivery. I installed it myself, which isn't hard with a helper and a 12ft ladder. They have a list of installers in your area of you want a pro to put it in. If that's too much you can always cruise Craigslist for cheaper ones.

 

I need some input on these rims off of a new 4 runner. What do you guys think? I will be putting on billies 4 corners and drakkars next week.

 

Well, I should probably add that I could potentially be lifting a 2015 F-350 Platinum as well...so what kinda tons am I gonna need? 2 or 4 post?

 

I personally find 2 post lifts much more useful than 4. Most 4 post lifts are used when the person drives onto the tracks and lifts the vehicle by the tires, while 2 posts can lift from the frame. Most of the stuff we do relates to suspension work so lifting from the tires doesn't make much sense.

 

I'm pretty sure it turned on when I put my whole dash back together. I tested to see if all my buttons were still working and I'm pretty sure that confused my computer to thinking I wanted it on. Again thanks for the info guys
