There are a few of us from Huntsville. Mall Crawling is almost the same build as one for offroading. I've had my 10 since it was new and haven't destroyed it offroading. Part replacement has totaled 1 wheel bearing because I didn't clean the mud off the wheel and driving it way out of balance for an hour.

Is your truck modded already or are you looking to do some modifications?

I just don't like breaking stuff on my truck. I have a rzr for that kind of stuff. I have a full sound system, custom interior painting, I am putting my lift and tires on tonight and installing my red leds in the interior and fenderwells and bed and grill sometime this week. So no it's not modded right now, but ask me that question tomorrow lol

Nice. I'd like to see it sometime. If you are looking for a satoshi, I have built quite a few.

Can anybody here help me bend/cut the spare tire holder tabs so I can fit my new spare underneath? I tried a hammer but I think I need a bigger one lol

    2 choices.

Bigger hammer or grow bigger muscles. Cuz if you can't beat it out of the way you are lacking in one of those departments. I used to store a 33 under mine and it only took about 2 hits on each tab with a 2.5 lbs hammer.

To be fair my first attempt was using this type of hammer. I will breakout the sledge then.

I use a fork mount for my bikes and I had to add a drop extension to it to make it work. Not real pleased on the results, but I fashioned it the night before a trip to FL.

So I get the occasional dealer contacting me about buying a Tacoma from my search last month. This is what I got from the general sales manager at Tuscumbia Toyota on Saturday.

    "Hello David,

My name is Dustin Burbank and I am one of the Sales Managers at University Toyota. I would like to thank you for requesting information about purchasing a vehicle from our dealership.

I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and I would love to have the opportunity to meet you in person. I understand the importance in finding the perfect vehicle, meeting your finance needs and offering you an exceptional buying experience. I want to make sure we do everything we can to assist you in your purchase decision.

Please contact me at the number below to schedule a time that we can sit down together. If you have any questions that need to be answered, feel free to contact me and let me know what I need to do to make you a happy University Toyota customer.

    Dustin Burbank
    University Toyota of Tuscumbia

    256-383-3611"

    "Dustin,
My inquiry was for the best deal you can do on a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 V6 Auto in Magnetic Gray with tow package. No other options.
Please provide the build sheet with the price breakdown. I am motivated to buy once I find the right deal. I am not interested in MSRP. I am looking for invoice pricing.
    Thanks"

"Yes sir I certainly appreciate your honesty! Im a very motivated General Sales Manager as well..Please come to our brand new facility located in beautiful Tuscumbia Al pick out a new Tacoma and I will personally show you invoice price and finalize your deal! This one time offer is only valid through 11/14/15 by 5p.m. thanks for your business!"

    "Dustin,
I appreciate the offer, however I am not just down the street to stop by. I am located in Huntsville, AL. I would need a more solid deal on what your invoice pricing consists of to make the drive over. I have received several quotes at invoice pricing. But then the additional fees get interesting. I was being charged the gas Toyota put in it on one of the quotes. If you will do invoice pricing and give me a run down on the fees that get me to an out the door price. I will definitely make a trip over to Tuscumbia to finalize the deal if we are in agreement.
    Thanks"

"The only fee we have is a doc fee of $678.50 and whatever your taxes would be. What time can I expect you today?"

"I am unable to make it to Tuscumbia this afternoon. I am hosting the Alabama game today. I can plan on making a trip there next weekend. Possibly one day after work this week if you confirm the following is correct.

    "Invoice Pricing
    $31249 - 7542 - TRD SPORT DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 AUTO
    $579 - TO - Towing Package
    $678.50 - Doc Fee

$32506.50 - Total + Taxes, Tag and Title

    Color: Magnetic Gray Metallic

Note: I did not add in the DPH fee or Admin fee. But even if I did the total would be $34366.50.

He sends over a consumer sheet for a truck that has more options checked than I asked for. I don't want Toyo guard, paint protection, or the factory tonneau cover. The price is $35,256 plus tax, tag, and title and his $678.50 doc fee.

    "Dustin,
This is what I've run into. I don't want the tonneau cover, toyo guard, nitrogen fill. Zero options. I want to order a truck with just the tow package. No other options. I appreciate the help but it's no different from the other dealers. I'll wait for the new to wear off this truck. I am by no means in need of this vehicle today and can wait. Or select a different manufacturer."

And for the GRAND FINALE his response.

"Ok great! Well if your waiting for the new to wear off youll have to purchase a pre owned because there aren't and never will be any incentives on a Tacoma. Further more if your thinking about buying from a different manufacturer then you probably should they will be a lot cheaper and when you get miles on it youll regret it, pass tacomas youll regret it, trade/sell it youll regret it. Here at University Toyota we by no means will devalue the Toyota product nor sell to someone that doesn't appreciate it as we do! GOOD LUCK!!"

I told him this was the best response ever and wished him well selling his Tacomas. I will be posting this everywhere.
