I couldn't find anyone in the area to build sliders that didn't want an arm, a leg, and a left testicle for it. Essentially offroad in Smyrna quoted me $600 . If I remember correctly, this lead to a pretty epic rant by @allmotorrex about big time shops not wanting small business. It was pretty entertaining.

 

Most of his rants are pretty entertaining lol.

Not much around the mountains around gatlinburg to ride. Jump over to exit 7 in NC and ride the forest service roads for days. Check out max patch, buzzards overlook about 2 miles over the concrete bridge exit 7 it over looks the interstate an is on the right side on forest service road 288. Check out the end of hazel rd in Sevierville for a view of the city at night( make out point). Not much in Sevierville due to too much touristy stuff.

 

Talked to an offroad shop and around Christmas I'm either having a slip yolk added to my driveshaft, but then I'll still need to replace my Carrier bearing and all my Ujoints, or I'm having a one-piece drive shaft with a slip yolk built for the truck. Gotta do something soon though, this thing vibrates from a start and never eases up along with my CB screaming.

 

Go with a 1 piece. Look into Hudlow Axle in Chattanooga. I know it's a drive for you, but I think he said he would make me a 1 piece driveshaft for ~$150 on my Tacoma. I know he wil cut down or lengthen a Cherokee driveshaft for $50.

 

Damn. I'll have to give them a call. Lucas got me hooked up with a guy that builds them in Nashville pretty cheap. $150 is stupid cheap though, almost sounds too good to be true. Everywhere I've seen has been around $400

 

Anyone know of a place that could/would have a sale on tires for black Friday?

Did you take your steering wheel logo off somehow to paint it or how did you do that?

 

I followed a write up. All you have to do is carefully cut it off with an xacto blade and glue it back on. I used a small flat head screwdriver to pry it up enough to get the blade behind it.

 

Is the write up on TW?
