Trust me, I'm not above spray painting them, but I found a set I like that are fairly cheap. I believe the out the door cost was $540-whatever I could sell my stock wheels for on CL.

Well I'm deciding against buying that 1980 pu, as much as I want it, I'm wanting to only pay cash for it...don't feel like taking a small loan out for it. I really hate to pass this up for the 3rd time finding one......really wish I had something to take out with bill and the other 4x4 guys. That thing would have bee perfect

Alpha, Did you get a chance to check this thing out in person? If so, does it need a ton of work?

I haven't had the chance to go in person yet no, the guy said he'd send more pictures and I'd go check it out before anything. But I'm just stopping myswlf before I do something I'll regret later...even though I could pay the loan off fast....I just would rather have the cash and not worry about it. I really hate to pass this up

Oh ya? Same here lol, I'm still gonna go look at it. I've got a plan b in mind, I'll see if the guy would be willing to wait for me to get the cash. I'll have it by the next paycheck after this next one

Well, I'm not gonna snake it from under you. If I were to get it, I would show up with the cash. When you go check it out... let me know what you think. If you think it's worth looking at, I'll go check it out.

If you decide to pass and I get it, I'll even let ya drive it down the street and back! ;)

@Alfuh I say just go for it. I dunno if Air Force has it, but in the Navy you can go to Fleet and Family services and get a $500 loan, no interest, no questions asked, and you pay back $50 a paycheck for 10 months, or you can pay it off sooner if you want. This way you could front yourself the cash, not have a hard check on your credit report, and still be able to get the truck.

I completely forgot about that, ya the air force has the falcon loan program. I could run over to he family readiness center and see what they say. That may even be better than going through the bank as then it would be automatically taken out over 10 months

Plus then it wouldn't affect your credit score at all, which is a good thing. For that small of an amount of money, I wouldn't pass up on the opportunity for a 3rd time

I would've just been like "Yeah something broke on my truck and I don't have money to fix it."
