    November 14, 2015

    Join SD ORV Club for its 1st official annual family fun day. The trip is a nice slow pace with 2 hiking trails, elephant tree and wind. The day is for famly and kids to enjoy. The hiking trils are easy and offer great views. 4wd and 2wd amd stock height will be fine. please not cars, as there are rocks that it may not make it over.

    Schedule:
    9:00 am - meet at albertsons in Ramona
    9:45 am - drivers meeting
    10:00 am - leaving on the dot
    11:45 - 12:00 pm - bathroom break at ocotillo wells
    12:15 pm - arriving at the trail head for elephant tree trail
    1:00 pm - lunch at the trail head for wind caves

    The wind caves concludes the day, or does it...

    My family and I will be staying in ocotillo wells over night. Depending on the time, we will be visiting shell reef, artisian well and ending our day in holmes camp were there will be a bondfire. Everyone is welcome to stay.

    Things needed:
    - Pack your own lunch/ dinner/ snacks
    - Bring water, lots of water, it is a desert
    - a pack of wood (if staying for the bonfire)
    - Recovery gear
    - spare tire (is a must)
    - First Aid kit
    - CB radio (not neccesary, but recommended)
    - comfortable shoes, maybe a change of socks
    - sunglasses and a hat
    - sunblock, the sun will turn the back of a persons neck into bacon!

    Most important rule, Please notify a trail leader or myself if leaving early. This is very important as we do not leave anyone behind.

    Next note, do not come on the trail if your vehicle is not running good or up to par.

    It's a family day trip, more about talking and hanging out with friends and family then smashing down the washes. It's cool. It's a group trip. But I'm sure most of the ppl will stay longer and hit up other spots
