Why do you need a hot girl? Because you like how she looks. Their for you enjoy her more right?

That's really a silly question. Why do people need cars that run 200 mph? You can't do that on the street.

Op you don't need spacers to fit 285s. The suspension is still free to cycle through its entire range of motion unless you change the bump stops. If you can't fit them stock they won't work when the suspension cycles with spacers.

See post #35. I went with 521600 Toytec springs with top plate instead.

I 100% agree with you. Now granted I have over 15K into my truck, but you buy and get what makes sense to you. For some a properly speced spacer and a small block in the back is perfect. It doesn't take from the truck at all, it simply adds the lift wanted without influencing the quality of ride. I see knuckle heads on here spending big money for COs yet almost never go offroad...whats the point??? Oh and their ride, well it rides stiff because the compression of the shocks is such that they are designed for hitting bumps hard. Oh and the 600 lbs spring rate coils (the typical coil for off the shelf COs), well they add to the stiffness, but of course all will tell you their truck rides like butter... Okay sure, if thats what you need to tell yourself after financing your "lift".

These Hard Root Beers aren't bad

    You're 100% correct!!!

Then to top it off you have the selective few who say they have all this tricked out suspension and yet only have spacers lol.

I live in nj 15 minutes out from nyc. Where in the world am i going to use this truck on a regular basis off road? I'm not so I make it drive nice look cool and be reliable.

Oh and the chances are in 3 years I will buy another one or something else. Oh and for all you guys that comment on that or before you do. This is my 4th tacoma I'm no newbie at this.

Oh oh guess what else. I bought an access cab not a 4 door. Why because I don't need it.

I'm not going to be off roading either because of where I live in PA. I grew up in SoCal and raced off road desert so I enjoy lifted trucks and how they look. I would like to keep a comfortable ride because the wife hates the coil overs in our STI. Any recommendations? DC Sport is on order. I'm thinking of doing the Toytech spring and top with AAL.

The 521600 Toytec spring with top plate rides very nice. Go with a rear block instead of an add a leaf if you want to maintain the factory ride in the rear.

Your logic has some issues, considering you don't just need a hot girl for LOOKS. You also want to use her for your NEEDS. Otherwise you'd just be happy looking at hot women on the street and doing nothing else.

Your truck is the same way. You may like how it looks but you also have NEEDS. If you don't have the NEED for a lift, then you don't NEED it, and you can enjoy just LOOKING at "pretty" lifted trucks on the street, and wishing you weren't such a cheap ass to install a proper suspension.

I dunno about you, but I don't think I could stay with a hot girl who rides like a two dollar hooker.

I have had the same problem as you. I personally like the spacer lifts regardless of what the people on here say. People here will only answer you saying "spacers suck", but to answer your question my 3" spacer was for a 2015.
