I searched for answers, didn't find anything :crapstorm:

I have a 2015 Tacoma with Entune plus.
Did Toyota install a safety feature to prevent you from switching hands free to hand set while driving? The button is there but grayed out while driving, when I put it in park the button lights up and lets you send the call to your phone.
    Thanks for your time.

If I wanted to speak on my handset versus hands free I've been able to do that by answering the call on my phone versus accepting it on the headunit. Also, if I'm talking hands free and want to get out of the vehicle the call is still there on my handset when I shut the truck off.

But to answer your question I think it's safe to assume Toyota built that in to the unit since the button is greyed out in certain scenarios but not in others.

you can answer calls in, but you can not make calls out while moving stock.

I snipped the purple / white speed wire that goes to the headunit to allow "a passenger" to do anything while moving .... this makes it to where the head unit doesnt know that you are moving. Dont quote me on that coloring

One can never have too many light bars.
My 2013 entune works if you dial from the phone.

I can make calls while moving by using the voice commands on the steering wheel.

I have the Iphone 5 and I can transfer my calls from hands-free to the phone using the phone's features. I haven't yet noticed this capability on the head unit itself.

I did the same thing and it works like a charm... I added a switch to mine so I can flip the switch... enter the GPS information... or whatever... then flip the switch again... and the gps picks up again .... I highly recommend the mod.
