I put a factory roof rack on my 2015 dcsb myself. Followed the included directions. And did a good job apparently on four of the six mounting spots.

We are having serious heavy rain here in Ga and I now have two wet spots in my head liner. I really wanted the silicone around the screws when I installed it, but the instructions said nothing about it so I didn't.

I guess I'm going to remove it and try to dry everything out overnight. So would you guys silicone the screws and would you re loctite it? Also is there any method to dry the headliner and keep from getting spots?

    Thanks!

P.s.- I was just about to but a FN tactical, so this is ruining my weekend.

did you get it new or second hand????

i got mine for my '13 new and it had sealing washers in the kit, all i had to do was follow the torque. it wasnt much. did you possibly over torque them? mine has been on for a year and a half no issues.

Yeah I remember when I installed mine, don't overnighting and make sure you tighten each one equally as you go. If you tight one bolt, the other one won't tighten.

Also, if I remember, the sealer is a one time deal, once it's in, don't undo it or you'll need to get another one

I siliconed it, but I still leaked. So I bought a rubber gasket, for a sink, and used that. It's been raining here in GA pretty bad and hasn't leaked yet..

I cut out the front bracket and the 3 rear holes and lock tight. I super glued the cut out gasket to the roof rack to keep it from moving.
