Pretty new to TW, I mainly do a lot of creeping to get ideas. I recently got a 2014 DCLB in Super White. My Taco is bone stock with the exception of blacked out emblems, tinted windows, and a cool TRD license plate frame if that counts haha.
I just ordered a set of the SCS Stealth 6's in matte black and I can't wait! I'm thinking on running 265/70/17's. Probably the BFG A/T. As for a lift, I'm thinking I want to run 885's on 5100s all around. With a 1.5" aal in the back. I'm still undecided though. What would you recommend for a slight lift, but nothing too crazy? Show me!

1.5 3 leaf progressive AAL is hard to beat for the money (under $150).

I'd for sure go with @HeadStrong Off-Road. They have the best prices and customer support of any of the main TW vendors in my experience. I saved a lot of money going through them on my OME stuff. Almost $200.

A progressive add a leaf out back, like icon or wheelers

There's a 4 wheel parts next to my house. Surprisingly, their stock is about the same price, if not cheaper, than some online stores I've shopped around at. They have OME 885's for $167, rear Billy's for $140, and they had pro comp add a leafs for $35 for the PAIR. Save some shipping as well. The aal sketches me out, but the others I will consider.

Seem to be pretty average prices, but hard to beat local convenience.

What exactly is a "progressive aal"? Is that a new set of leafs? Multiple leafs? From what I understand an aal is just what it states, 'adding' a leaf..haha.

Good call. Is a progressive set up worth the extra money if I don't plan on doing much off-roading and occasional hauling?

hell yes...... I've been stock, stock plus tsb, tsb plus single aal, then tsb plus icon progressive...... Ur back and ass will thank u.... The back end won't hop around as much as it does now on convex bumps in the road..... Right now the whole truck wants to bounce...... With the progressive aal, the suspension will suck it up..... You know u have felt the ass end step out sideways on bumps :)

Hell, even those gaps or uneven spots when crossing a bridge/overpass cause the back end to buck don't they?

How did you know?!? ;) Ass end likes to slip around a lot too. I find that I spin the tires pretty easily even when it's slightly wet outside.

I pretty much have the setup you want as far as a lift except I have a .5" AAL in the back which levelled my truck. Check out my sig at the bottom. I will be getting some matt black SR8 in the spring. IMG_5523.jpgIMG_5649.jpg

I'll definitely have to consider the progressive aal. Might as well spend the money for the quality considering I'll be driving it a long time! The sketchy part about wheelers is that they don't tell you the shipping price beforehand, which makes me nervous. Any experience with that? $159 for the progressive kit isn't bad though.

Luchin, how are you liking the set up? Anything you would do differently? I think it looks good! I don't want too much lift but I think 884 or 885 coils are perfect for what I'm looking for.

There is absolutely no reason a shipping charge has to be a mystery until after an item ships. Every company gives shipping quotes. Wheeler's doesn't, it's always a mystery.

Fuck that. That isn't how shipping works. I ship every day and I know exactly what the price is, immediately.

I was totally thrown off when I saw that from wheelers. I had a cart full from headstrong and wheelers and wanted to compare the TOTAL cost. Pretty unfortunate when you can't take shipping into consideration.. Is it $20...? Or is it $100..?!! Poor business imo.

Like I said..I had identical orders like you did. Headstrong was $182 cheaper for the same parts, before the unknown shipping fee from Wheeler's and it included CA sales tax because Headstrong is in SoCal.

Marie is the best. Hands down. Give her a call.

Yeah it's pretty bullshit. I have no problem taking my money elsewhere if there's other options.
