That's just stupid since an oil filter does such a piss poor job as a suppressor. Nothing but aa giant clown nose on anything but a 22 short. But it LOOKS like it could work.

I don't know if you calling him out on this comment was justified. I didn't sense any sarcasm or humor in his statement.

 

He posted the picture as a WTF and I told him what it was about. Anyone posting that pic having anything less than a sober respect for those brave men so afflicted is gonna get told by me and every other Veteran I know.

Well then in that case...I am offering you a sincere and genuine "Thank you" for your service. I have not spent one minute in the military myself but to be vague....I have met many men and women that have come back home different from who they were when they went in. Everyone had different experiences and everyone handles things differently but the sacrifice is tremendous and on a level I could never match.

 

It was my honor, and I thank you for your understanding of the seriousness of the matter. In my four years active duty, I was fortunate to not have been exposed to the trauma that so many others have seen. I can not fully understand, nor can anyone who hasn't experienced it, but I'm actually very glad that most Americans haven't a clue, as apparently @Festus is equally and blissfully clueless. For that reason now, I apologize to Festus for my harshness.

 

I say WTF anytime I see people put suppressors on anything centerfire rifle. Its like draining the ocean of sound with a dixie cup of attenuation.
