I'm assuming you ordered https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/festoon/de3175-led-bulb-4-smd-led-festoon-30mm-car/2107/ correct?
The main difference (besides size) is 4 LEDs instead of 10 and a decreased brightness 61 vs. 95

Thank you, especially, for this nicely detailed 'how to'. It made my installation go much better than it would have otherwise (I still stupidly blew the fuse).

I just want to make (2) notations:

First, in my Access Cab TRD OR, the prying divots on the Dome Light cover are on the side closest to the front of the truck, not the rear.

And Second, the License Plate bulbs can, indeed, be a real PITA to remove and re-install. I lost some skin.

Thanks again for your help........................... Frank

    Thanks for posting this info!

Ordered all of these along with the 921 back-up lights - looking forward to the added visibility.

Next will I'll upgrading the Limited's OEM fog lights with some Morimotos from Vleds!

    that's why I said a 30mm or better yet a 29mm led. vleds 3175 comes in 31mm. other 3175 outside of vleds come in 30 and 29mm.

    vled 3022 is a 29mm hence I posted 3175 and 3022 bulbs.

access cabs have a different dome light than double cabs, sorry about that.

Wow, I hadn't realized this thread blew up the way it did :p
I'm glad I could help everyone!

This is true, the bulb is a little bit slanted inside of the socket but it fits well enough that I don't see the need in buying a smaller one (yet)

Nice selection of Sylvania LED's now being sold locally at Autozone stores. I bought the dome and maps. Two thumbs up. Bright. They've gotten rid of their Pilot brand bulbs and replaced them with Sylvanias (in all the stores I've been in lately). Good move on their part.

Philips also makes a nice LED 30mm dome.
I do know that you can get an incandescent red 194. Not sure about LED.

I think I would need LED to get enough punch from red. The good thing is that incandescent is cheap to try. I put them in our fire trucks once but the tint they use burned off in a month.

There are cheap red LEDs available online. But I wouldn't trust them. The cheap ones are terrible.

Just ordered a set for the map lights, dome light and license plate lights. Didn't need the mirror/vanity lights seeing on how the drivers side on mine doesn't even have a mirror, didn't even check the passenger side. Should be in the mail in a couple of days, anyone have a detailed way or video on how to get the map lights out, the rest should be self explanatory I just don't want to mess up the over head console.

Installed my LEDs. One of the vanity LEDs didn't work (I know they are polarity sensitive). You have to push the actual diode to get it to work so must be a weak soldering joint. The overhead 31mm Festoon puts out great light, but as others have said, that little bastard is a tight fit. I'm afraid if I hit a big enough bump, it's going to pop right out so ordering the VLED6K BULB 29MM 3022 instead. The rest of the lights are great. With the license plate LEDs they will brighten the camera so you'll need to turn the contrast down in your settings.

Have people had success with the 31mm dome light? I ordered that one before reading the post saying its too tight.

I've had no issues with it. It is a tight fit but it works fine

Depends which one you get. The 31mm I got wont fit in there, its cocked at a slight angle and doesnt allow it to be secured with the spring fit piece
