    Hi there,
First time posting. Was curious about wheel fit / replacement on a 2000 2.7 4x4. I have the stock alloy wheels currently and am curious if the 17"x 9" 6 lug aluminum Toyota wheels off of a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Sport 4 x 4 will bolt right on. Tires are Firestone 265/65r/17 - im not really worried about tire fit but more so offset and other potential issues.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the same question. Will these rims go over the front manual hubs on my 98 tacoma sr5

Generally, 2nd gen Tacoma wheels have more backspacing/more positive offset compared to our 1st gen wheels. This means the will tuck in further and in some situations will create interferance with the UCA and the frame.

The wheels should have an offset number stamped on the inside of the wheel. For comparison sake, 1st gen alloy wheels are +15 mm offset, which, on a 7" wide wheel is slightly more than 4.5" of backspacing.

Yes, they will bolt up fine. They will be tucked in further tho because they have a lot more backspacing. And a 285/75r16 tire will hit the stock upper control arm. A 265/75r16 should clear the UCA.

I ran those rims with 265/75/16 tires for a little while. They rubbed when the wheel was completely turned one way or the other without any spacers.
