I know this is the western ma thread but do any of you know of some trails up near the Foxboro area? I lived in Belchertown and worked in Orange for 6 months but then accepted a job back this way so I had to move. Unfortunately the move was right after I bough my tacoma.

Unfortunately no. The closest is probably a spot that's right by the ct/ri/ma border in ri. Keep an eye on the NE wheeling trips thread

So I'm very interested in this. Where did you get it done? Does it attract dirt? After the 24 hour period does it still retain that messy glazed donut look? Sorry lots of question but I havent seen this one before.

i got it done at matthews automotive in salem,ny. Very nice drive up there. A member on here told me if i am ocd about keeping the engine bay pristine, tell them not to spray there because dust will stick. I asked the krown guy about it and he said they dont spray the engine directly, just the battery connections, engine mounts, and inside hood. He said some dust will stick, but the dust helps keep the protection in place. He said "is it a show truck, or do you want it to last?" I didn't look at the underside yesterday, no chance. I'll take a look today.

Checked out the frame today. Had to wait for the rain to stop. It is still oily/slimy looking, even after driving to nassau,ny and back yesterday in the rain. Funker, I installed the rear window lock. What a project that was!:D

I'm thinking I'll just buy the aerosol fluid film and spray what I can with it. It'll be better than nothing!

@js312 @DrFunker Ok guys, i scouted out a location today that my friend brought me to in his jeep several years ago. Sorry for the individual posts, its much easier on my phone that way. It is practically an offroading paradise! It is a huge area of sand pits with trails, dunes etc. One of the dunes in here has got to be 30-40' tall. It feels like you are out in utah or something. Pretty cool. There is some powdery sand, but most of it is sand/gravel mixed and it could definitely be driven up. Here is the killer though, it is not accessible to trucks:annoyed:. There is a gate at the road (more like a trail, but could be cleaned up/widened easily) entering this place. The gate must not have been there a few years ago when my friend and I went here. Even if there was no gate, there is no way to get past the broken bridge with a truck. The bridge now blocks the road completely to vehicles. The only thing that could get past this gate would be dirtbikes, and there is a beaten dirtbike trail that goes right around the gate. Here is my little adventure. Working on pics. This is the location. Drive down utility rd towards the treatment plant, and park at the broken RR track bridge. A truck tried to drive under this bridge a few years ago and apparently the driver failed to read the max clearance heights.

20151115_142149.jpg utility rd goes straight downhill for about 1/4 mile. You can see the bridge at the bottom. Pic was taken on my way out.

20151115_141156.jpg i parked right at the broken bridge, and was soon graced with another Tacoma guy. I have actually seen/been behind this guy several times. I knew his bumper stickers. I asked him about the sandpits, and he said im heading there right now. Turns out he uses the pits to practice his archery. He had a bow with him. So we walked in (10 mins max) together. He told me he used to teach earth science, and this area is a glacial till deposit. Makes sense when you see the sand/gravel.

20151115_140455.jpg follow the road, and you will come to the gate, and the path the dirtbikes have made to get around it.

20151115_135337.jpg follow the trail through some woods and you emerge into this! Does not feel like berkshire county. Its like a mini desert. And the pics don't do it justice.

20151115_134913.jpglots of sandy trails. This would be one heck of a location to test out that new crawl control!

20151115_134650.jpg the view from the top of the biggest dune, looking down on the sand flats. The trail that leads into the place is in the back left. I did NOT explore the entire place. I had seperated from the other tacoma guy to let him do his archery, and i was seeing a huge amount of coyote tracks. I know a treatment plant employee and she told me the whole area is chuck full of coyotes. I felt a bit uneasy all alone out here.
