007 -I have an 06 cab and a 1/2 (access cab?) I bought new last fall as a left over. It's that bright blue that's easy to find in a parking lot. I thru a K&N filter in it and a Gibson side shot catback on it and pronounced it ready to wear out. American Racing has finally brought out a decent rim for it and they should be in later this month. I also replaced the second hand Goodyears with a set of Michelins after dashing thru the snow sideways one too many times. For the price it should come with Michelins. I like the truck but not to impressed with some of their 'cost saving' features bit it's a keeper.

    I know exactly what you mean - I have Dunlop AT20s :(

Sounds like you have a great truck! How do you like the catback?

007 - I like it well enough to search no more. Of course it cost most of $200 to figure out that was the way to go. In the past (american pushrod V-motors) a quality muffler and larger tailpipe always worked well. When I applied past experience to this ride (jap overhead cam V-motor) it sound like sh!t. A most experienced muffler shop owner told me I needed a resonator (aka a glasspac). It worked much better but by now I was most of $200 poorer and had more muffling that exhaust pipe. After much research I ordered the gibson and am happy and poorer. 2 things I hold to be true.... 1) exhaust harmonics on an o'head cam v-motor are different that a pushrod v-motor and 2) a thick rubber pickup box mat do wonders for dampening the resonating cab noise you hear. But that's just me..your results may vary.

SK - Old is being retired; drawing social security; having 6 grandkids; no mortgages; working part time so I can drive a nice truck, ride a nicer Harley and fish in foreign counties....that kind of old.

Congrats on enjoying the good life. I'm leaving next month to do some fly fishing in Scotland. Don't have the grand kids yet, but those days will come. Enjoy your time, you've worked hard for it.

That's no good. You need some kind of an excuse to dust it off. :)
