image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Picked this up from the dealership I work at. Sticker was $36,989, they sold it to me for $34,650. Magnetic gray, DCSB with tech and premium package, factory tri fold bed cover, door sill guards. Has the 6MT transmission. Love the truck. Already put 300 miles on it since Thursday. Can't wait to try it in snow. Front windows will be tinted tomorrow, LED bulbs are on order for the headlights, will order LED bulbs for interior and back up lights, and then likely a lift to be able to fit 33's.

Your second pic reminds me of a thought I had on my second gen...Why does Toyota put a similar knob for 4x4 in the same area as the knob for the fan/temp control? At least on the 2nd gen it's a different feel to the knob but same diameter, but on your 3rd gen it looks like you couldn't even feel the difference... careful with that.

Curious to see how the LED bulbs look in the headlights. Post pics when installed? My taco is a couple of weeks out!

Night and day. Smoother with less distance between throws, unless you put a quick shifter in a '15, 16's shifting is excellent.

How often are you in 6th? So many complaints about hunting with the automatic, I'm curious how fifth and sixth feel in the manual transmission.

I test drove '16 AT before purchasing MT. There's a lot less hunting with MT. AT was too hunting sensitive for my liking. That being said, I'm having to shift to 5th with '16 on same grades previous sold '15 MT could stay in 6th. But it's no big deal, overall MT drives like a dream.

Hard to find off road possibilities in the middle of the city, which is where I live. I purchased the sport because I love the look of it.

I test drove both and love the manual option. I usually don't grab 6th unless I'm cruising above 55-60. Shifts like butter, throws between shifts are almost car-like.

I've been thinking about this comment for a little while now.

The rubber on the 4wd selector is fairly different from the temperature knob. Additionally, I'm not sure why you would start fiddling with any controls without even taking a split second to see which one you're touching. Lastly, even if you did accidentally shift the 4wd, you can shift on the fly up to 62mph so no damage would be done anyway.

No. I plan on lifting and fitting 33's on it and just planned to go with a good all around all season type tire, possibly nitto terra grapplers. I'm pretty confident with my snowy road driving so I don't feel it's necessary for winter specific tread.

Thank you. I like the moonroof. It's been chilly in Milwaukee lately. Haven't seen much above 50 in a week. Today is a high of 40. I tilt the moon roof up and enjoy some fresh air exchange.

That's solid advice. With only about 2 days behind the wheel, I reached down and switched to 4H when I thought I was turning up the heat! I was doing about 75 MPH and the audible "clunk" and deceleration let me know I turned the wrong knob! I've since accustomed myself to the different feels between the two so I won't (I hope) do it again!

That truck looks perfect. My ideal taco, minus not having a longbed.

I wanted a long bed, but didn't want to wait for one. Midwest region has a long wait for them for some reason. This truck was on the lot and it was a great deal. Plus they gave me a huge trade in quote for my 2014
