Wonder if those holes from the screwed in bracket are the same distance apart as a license plate holes?? I had to be right there when they screwed the plastic bracket on my front bumper. Darn thing is pretty floppy on there.

Bracket mouting screws do not align with license plate holes. I am painting my bracket the same color as my truck in order to blend in the bracket a bit with the bumper

O.K. thanks. Guess I'll forget that idea. Guess a man could drill 2 holes through his license plate and screw it to the bumper. I don't have to paint my bracket to match my truck.

Mine had a front plate - first thing I did was take it off. Anybody have a good way to hide the holes that are there now?

I am in Texas as well where it is required. Mine came with one, I had NO IDEA I could have gotten it without it. I think it does not look too bad.
When more options for front grill guards with winches become available, and I see the one I want ... the plate will be hidden behind it so it won't really matter.

I ran my truck for 3 years without one. My car too. But I don't act like a dick on the roads. 99% of the cops here in DFW won't bother with plates. I work close with many officers at work, and I work nights in the "urban" areas (that's the ghetto for some of ya) and never have an issue. Ever local pd, sheriffs and troopers all say the same thing. I told my salesman specifically I didn't want it on there

    You can buy plugs

I ran my MINI Cooper without front plates, even got a speeding ticket and didn't get written up for no front plate.

you can request that they don't screw the bracket on your bumper... I've done that on my last few cars... especially sports cars it looks better to get a bracket that comes through a vent or relocates the front plate.

Seven years with no front plate. Pulled over twice but never ticketed. Then one day I was ticketed for no front plate from a meter maid. From $75 down to $15 though.

Envious. Drive thru a small town in Texas with no Texas front plate and it is a magnet for getting stopped. Was stopped three times in the same day in Houston for no front plate a couple of years ago.

I keep front plates on all of my vehicles. Not a big deal for me any more.

Well I think it is just easier to have it on. Mine came with it and it looks okay with whatever mount Toyota put it in with. Now I don't have to worry about getting stopped for it.

Any decent alternative mounting solutions out there yet? I'll probably just end up drilling the holes once my plates come in the mail.
