What is the noise level like inside the cab with a full cage? I've been told by some it's noisy as hell (with bypass clicking, etc.) and others that it's not bad at all. I've driven a caged Ranger; it was a little noisy but not unbearable. Would a taco be any different? I realize safety is more important than noise, but curious as to what to expect.

What do you consider noisy? My DD is pretty freaking quiet inside, so getting in my Tacoma is like sitting in a rock tumbler by comparison. Sound deadening helps, but I can definitely hear bypass clicking in the cab through the tube work from the bed cage. My problem is I have some annoying fucking rattle on the passenger side in the cab at about 2k rpm which SUCKS!

I was driving today and had a thought, I wonder if that foam spray would help with the cage carrying noise through the cab. Maybe just some parts of tube where itll be away from welding, etc.

I think a couple guys have done that and it does cut down noise a bit but does add a bit of weight if you add enough to cut down on noise

Not worried about the added weight, but that foam does hold moisture. Rustin the inside is no good, it's also a huge mess and a pain in the ass. Turn up the stereo.

Yeah if you use open cell foam. Closed cell foam is waterproof and won't hold moisture.

    Yes
BITD when that expanding spray foam in a can came out a lot of people jumped on using it as a sound deadener for car audio applications... But six months later realized it was a horrible idea because it works its way loose and then squeaks like hell as it rubs against any surface that flexes. Not sure if that would happen inside a stiff cage tube but definitely never use it to fill cab areas such a pillars.

Eh, its not that bad for what your getting and the convenience of not having to yell over the vehicle noise or turn down the radio to talk is worth it. I have the same setup in my truck

Yeah, I went the budget route with Rugged. I just bought the below intercom and its on the way.

    http://www.ruggedradios.com/index.p...free_shipping_info&cPath=706&products_id=1840

For the radio, intercom, cables, ptt and 2 headsets I'm around at $650. Not too bad to be able to hear your passenger, music and everyone else clearly through the headset.

i tried a rugged radio in the rhino and it did not work properly at all. was hard to catch your voice to turn it on because of the wind, plus a bunch of other things....

im sure in a truck it would work much better..

i opted to spend $1550 on the PCI...........
fuck me in the ass, right?
