So I have an 08 Tacoma 4x4 sr5 TRD. Since I got it it's always idled smooth around 800-1000. I just but two HIDs on a back bed bar, ran the wires down between the bed and cab, grounded each light to a part of the frame, ran the power wire under the truck along the passenger side zip tied it to the power outlet wire bundle that runs the same way. I have the wire coming up into the hood then through the firewall on my driver side and into a switch, I have that switch grounded, and a power wire running into my fuse box and getting its power from two additional 30amp fuses. Now went I start my truck it fires up like normal but then drops way down and idles from 200-500?! What the hell?! I did have my battery disconnected but check my terminals they are tight and secure. Also pulled out the additional fuses. But it's still idling very low. I don't what it could be it was perfect just the other day..

Rough idle? Power loss on acceleration? Or just simple low idle? Also is the engine cold or warm whenever it idled down to 200-500 RPM's?

Normal -it's from having the battery disconnected. The ECM has to relearn, it will improve if you drive it.
